Zentangle 是一項簡易、能讓人放鬆身心而且有趣的創意藝術，只需有規律地重覆繪畫簡單的圖案，便能組成一幅美麗的圖畫。「Zentangle」是近年新興的藝術，「Zen」是「禪」的音譯，「Tangle」則是指纏繞式的繪畫方法，中文稱之為「禪繞畫」，源於美國一對藝術家夫婦，妻子Maria在繪製插圖背景時，發現內心有平靜、愉悅的感覺，曾在僧院修行的丈夫Rick認為，這種經驗跟禪修很相似，二人遂創出這門藝術——利用針筆、鉛筆、紙筆等簡單工具，於紙張上畫圖案，線條元素包括點、直線、弧線、蛇形和圓形，即「iCSO」，只須把不同的線條搭配起來，並重複繪畫，即可演變出有趣圖案！
