為了紀念太平清醮，每屆醮會都會印製特刊，作為歷史文獻。為此，各村都會重新整理資料以便刊載在特刊之內，在整理資料過程中，大家不但對自己本村的歷史加深了解，亦能讓後輩增加對自己身份的認同。在正醮日，除廣邀嘉賓出席齋宴之外，本鄉凡六十歲或以上之男女原居民均獲邀請席，以示尊敬，一這更是發揚中國人傳統敬老的美德。
