Hanart TZ Gallery has been a pioneer in exploring the Chinese cultural map for over 30 years, and has represented and worked with numerous artists now internationally prominent. The Gallery opened in November in 1983 with the mission of introducing new Chinese contemporary art both to Asia region and internationally. The Gallery soon became a magnet for both established and emerging artists of gre

ater China art world from Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong as well as the international diaspora. As such the Gallery has served as a significant link with the international art world; its role in landmark exhibitions, such as The Stars 10 Years (1989) and China’s New Art Post-1989 (1993, toured until 1998), and Power of the Word (1999, toured until 2002) are iconic. Other significant shows that Hanart TZ Gallery has organized include: international exhibitions of monumental sculptures by the celebrated Taiwanese sculptor Ju Ming at South Bank Centre in London (1991), Place Vendome in Paris (1997-1998) and Brandenburg Gate in Berlin (2003); A Strange Heaven, Photography from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong (Europe tour, 2003); Liu Guosong (Liu Kuo-sung) at Palace Museum, Beijing (2007); Zhang Xiaogang, Fang Lijun, Feng Mengbo at Galerie Rudolfinum, Prague (2008). In 2010, the Gallery has opened a new exhibition space, Hanart Square, for featuring shows of experimental art and installations. It is our belief that publication and intellectual discourse are critical to encouraging creativity and spreading information, and over the years the Gallery has worked with many writers and curators, and has produced over a hundred catalogues. In 2015, Hanart TZ Gallery published a major book, 3 Parallel Artworlds: 100 Art Things from Chinese Modern History, featuring texts by fourteen international scholars and interpretations of one hundred Chinese artworks from the past century. In recent years the Gallery has extended its focus to building links and exchanges with artists and scholars of the Pan-Asia region.

漢雅軒（Hanart TZ Gallery）成立於1983年11月， 三十年來致力探索中國文化版圖，推廣中國當代藝術，包括大陸、臺灣、香港及旅居海外的傑出藝術家，可以說是中華地區新銳藝術家的長期陣地。

作為連接國際視野的重要紐帶，漢雅軒推出的里程碑展覽包括1989年的「星星十年」；1993年的「後八九中國新藝術」（國際巡展至1998年）；1999年的「文字的力量」（國際巡展至2002年）等等。

其他由漢雅軒籌辦的國際展覽有：朱銘自1981年以來（美國除外）的所有海外展覽，包括於倫敦南岸（1991）、巴黎凡登廣場（1997-1998）、柏林菩提大道（2003）的大型戶外雕塑個展；「幻影天堂：當代中華攝影」（歐洲巡展，2003）；劉國松北京故宮博物院回顧展（2007）；「中國繪畫：張曉剛、方立鈞、馮夢波」布拉格魯道夫美術館三人展（2008）等。漢雅軒在2010年開放「漢雅立方」，作為裝置與實驗藝術專題展覽的新空間。

漢雅軒支持學術討論及出版，以促進創作和信息共享，並長期保持與評論家和策展人合作，出版圖錄及書籍過百冊。2014年，漢雅軒三十週年慶，圍繞「中國現代性」的主題舉行國際論壇和展覽，翌年於2015春出版學術典籍《三個藝術世界：中國現代史中的一百件藝術物》，載錄十四位國際學者的文章，精選一百件近世紀中國現當代藝術品于以點評論述。近年來，漢雅軒一直致力促進「亞際」地區的文化交流，以圖打開多元文化研究的亞洲視野。

𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗕𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗬𝗜
Born in Beijing and educated in the United States, 𝗕𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘆𝗶 received her Ph.D. in art history from Yale University in 2005 where she specialized in the literature and culture of the Han Dynasty. There, she developed her ability to compose texts in various classic formats whether in ancient 𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘫𝘪𝘯𝘨-style poetry, rhapsodic 𝘧𝘶-style verse or ancient 𝘨𝘶𝘸𝘦𝘯-style prose.

Bingyi is perhaps best known for her large-scale ink paintings in which she collaborates, over months or years, with the environmental conditions of a specific site to capture a reality-scaled record of the climatic and topological forces shaping a natural or urban landscape. At the other end of her wide-ranging practice, Bingyi explores the microscopic origins of organic life in intimate, small-format paintings, in which her minute and meticulous brushwork paradoxically reveals a profoundly creative, gestural, and “calligraphically expressive” quality drawn from her daily calligraphy routine. Through her hypnotic, obsessive endurance and ex*****on both painstaking and nuanced, one senses the loving power of nature itself as it crafts animate life from inanimate matter.

In 2026, Bingyi’s works are displayed at the Asia Society Hong Kong Center and Harvard Art Museums, and will be shown at the National Museum of Asia in coming April. Her works are included in the collections of prominent institutions such as Los Angeles County Museum of Art, White Rabbit Contemporary Chinese Art Collection, Art Institute of Chicago, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Brooklyn Museum, Yale University Art Gallery, National Museum of Asian Art, the Smart Museum of Art, University of Chicago, and Mount Holyoke College Art Museum etc.

漢雅軒與墨齋聯合呈獻《冰逸：璇璣陣》，謹訂於3月14日（週六）在漢雅軒開幕。

展覽以跨越古今，超越神秘和理性的《雷法》和《符籙》為主軸，結合達24米長的巨幅《萬物》，呈現藝術家冰逸對遠古精神、思維空間與能量結構的深度探索。

展期至2026年5月2日。

Hanart TZ Gallery is delighted to present Bingyi’s solo exhibition “Formation of the Cosmos”, in collaboration with INKstudio. The opening reception will take place at Hanart TZ Gallery on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 2 to 6 pm, in the presence of the artist.

The exhibition features Bingyi’s monumental 24-meter-long masterpiece, All Things, delving into the intersection of ancient spiritual wisdom, energy structures, and contemporary artistic expression through the theme of “Lightning Painting” and “Talismans”. This show is a profound exploration of Bingyi’s deep engagement with the cosmic and philosophical dimensions of ancient Chinese thought, and the way these ideas resonate in the contemporary world.

Exhibition runs till 2 May 2026.

Traversing between the media of painting, site-specific and multimedia installation, Lam’s playful practice arises from a curious imagination that recombines traditional iconography and vernacular materials. He often engages themes of collective memories and fleeting nostalgia, to reflect on the complexity of Hong Kong’s urban reality. His allegorical landscapes, journeys and sceneries become essential passages that connect time and distance, longings and losses.

Cheng Tsai-Tung is one of a group of Taiwan artists who first made their mark during the late 70s and early 80s, by contemporising literati aesthetics via a unique mode of expressive imagery, a strategy that paralleled the same generation of New Expressionists in Europe. Cheng transforms quotidian life into classical imagery in which he often inserts a version of himself as the loitering intellectual–a personal statement of engagement with his own time as a flaneur.

魏東早年就以他的工筆畫技成名，北京師範大學畢業已獲頒優秀畢業生獎，之後兼攻油畫，在海外屢屢獲獎。魏東早期繪畫都以擠擁的文化物品和誘惑的肉體填滿畫面。作品反映了文化大變革年代，舊文化的萬物頓失其所。物質文明的錯亂，也成為人類生理慾望的失落。社會上各種角色和多類道具同時上場，但都好像折子戲的剪影，無法構成一齣首尾完整的大戲。魏東近年的風景畫落實在古典的情境，可知世界秩序最終還是要落實於自然天地。在風景優美的世界裏，人界的行為也對應著經典的永恆故事，參照神話的劇本演出。

Early in his career Wei D**g was already known for his intricate technique and complex compositions. In both ink art and oil painting, his signature style is a crowded surface packed with cultural artefacts and erotic bodies. The works reflect the era of revolutionary changes when objects from a former era suddenly become obsolete. A new era brings in a new order. Human desire follows the times, and erotic seduction seeks new narratives. Wei D**g’s later landscapes return to a classical world in which Nature brings back an order that provides human protagonists classical roles. Here human activities are performed as reenactment of mythic tales and mysteries.

齊沐德 Shagdarjav Chimeddorj（b.1954）
齊沐德是蒙古的重要當代畫家。他生於放牧的家庭，五歲開始騎馬，草原馬題材是他的生活現實。他描繪的大草原深遠遼闊，馬匹靈活多態。他的水墨畫亦以成熟流麗的筆法享譽國際。齊沐德於2006年獲蒙古總統頒授國家榮譽獎，表揚他對蒙古藝術的貢獻。

Chimeddorj grew up in a family of cattle breeders. He learned to ride a horse at the age of five and the vastness of the steppe with its horse culture remains his lifelong passion. In 2006, Chimeddorj received the Mongolian State Honorary Prize from the President of Mongolia in recognition of his contribution to national art.

HUANG is a guest professor at the China Academy of Art, Hangzhou Normal University, and Guangxi Arts University. He is recognized as one of the ‘Top 20 Young Calligraphy Artists in Zhejiang.’ Huang refreshes traditional calligraphy through playful manipulation of Chinese word’s pictographic components, to find new relationships between picture and meaning.
