HKUST, Shaw Auditorium Home to HKUST’s cultural activities and a new landmark for large-scale events.

The Shaw Auditorium is home to HKUST's cultural activities and a new landmark for large scale events, providing new flexibilities and possibilities to create a vibrant arts and cultural scene at the University. Established in 2021, the venue serves as a multi-purpose auditorium with a seating capacity of around 850 for concerts and over 1,300 in flat floor configurations, the venue can be used to host different kinds of events such as concerts, theater performances, lectures, exhibitions, and ceremonies. There are also supporting facilities offering space for seminars, rehearsals, small-scale performances, and gatherings both indoors and outdoors. We would like to sincerely thank the Shaw Foundation Hong Kong Limited’s generous HK$150 million donation which has made possible this impressive outcome before our eyes.

🎊 2026 marks a special milestone: the 5th anniversary of the Shaw Auditorium! Over the past five years, this vibrant space has hosted everything from cultural and artistic performances to beloved student performances which becoming a true cultural heart of HKUST.

🌟 To celebrate, we presented the Shaw Auditorium 5th Anniversary Celebration Gala, featuring an electrifying lineup of student talent:
• Chinese Orchestra, HKUSTSU
• Dance Society, HKUSTSU

𝗛𝗞𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗹𝗲𝘆 (𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲) #科大音樂劇組曲 (2024–2026)

The HKUST Community Musical has filled the Shaw Auditorium with vibrant performances annually since 2024, marking three consecutive years. This year, as we celebrate the Shaw Auditorium's 5th anniversary, this program serves as a special tribute to this significant milestone. 🎭✨

We are delighted to invite HKUST alumnus Chuck-jee Chau to serve as our Music Director. Having been involved in the musical productions for the past three years, he has rearranged beloved melodies and scores from three musicals that have previously graced our stage.

Our cast, featuring talented HKUST members from past productions, has come together once again. Drawing upon their collective stage experience and creative passion, they have started from scratch, refined their vocal techniques and movements, and rehearsed tirelessly with unwavering dedication to perfect every detail. ❤️

We are also honoured to have another HKUST alumnus, Edwin WAN Edwin Wan 尹溥程, a seasoned local professional musical theatre actor, to serve as our Rehearsal Coach. He has guided the performers in recreating those unforgettable moments and delivering a refreshing theatrical experience that will captivate our audience. 🌟

#科大音樂劇 自2024年起於逸夫演藝中心上演，至今已連續三載。今年適逢逸夫演藝中心五週年慶典，此節目亦成為五週年慶典的重要獻禮之一。 🎭✨

我們特別邀約過去三年一直參與科大音樂劇製作的科大校友 #周卓之 出任音樂總監，為過往音樂劇中膾炙人口的旋律與樂章重新編曲，賦予經典嶄新風貌。❤️

演出陣容由過往三年音樂劇中優秀的科大成員組成。他們匯聚舞台經驗與創作熱情，從零開始雕琢唱腔、舞台技巧，反覆排練、精益求精，務求每個細節盡善盡美。此外，我們亦榮幸邀請同為科大校友的本地資深音樂劇演員 #尹溥程 擔任排練指導，協助演員重現令人難忘的片段，並以煥然一新的演繹，期待為觀眾帶來耳目一新的觀劇體驗!💫

Rope Skipping Club, hkustsu

The Rope Skipping Club, HKUSTSU was established in 2016. The Club aims to raise students’ awareness of rope skipping and promote it to students. Members gather weekly to practise everything from basic jumps to advanced group tricks, and they have been invited to showcase their skills at various public events and school functions. Recently, they won the Audience Choice Award at the HKUST Talent Quest. 🏆

At the Celebration Gala, they will present a high-energy performance - “Shaw We Jump Together?”, blending precision timing with dynamic formations. Expect pure excitement and non-stop hype from start to finish! 💥🎉

#香港科技大學學生會跳繩學會 成立於 2016 年。旨在提高學生對跳繩運動的認識，並向廣大學生推廣跳繩運動。會員每週聚會練習，從基礎跳躍到複雜的團體花式，樣樣皆精；他們亦曾獲邀於多個公開活動及校內場合表演。最近，他們更參與了香港科技大學才藝大賽（HKUST Talent Quest），並榮獲「最受觀眾歡迎獎」。🏆

在逸夫演藝中心五週年慶典匯演上，他們將帶來精彩節目《Shaw We Jump Together?》，以精準節奏配合多變隊形，用充滿爆發力的演出點燃全場熱情，帶大家感受跳繩的極致活力！💥🎉

Founded in 2015 at HKUST, is a vibrant aca****la group known for their energetic passion and musical artistry. 🐟 🎶 Comprised of talented members from diverse backgrounds, Tunatics showcases a rich vocal landscape and boundary-defying style. 🌍

🏆 Since its inception, the group has earned widespread recognition, winning multiple championships in cross-regional collegiate competitions. Beyond competitions, they have performed at prestigious events, delighting audiences with their exceptional talent. Through its artistry and energy, Tunatics continues to represent HKUST, bringing people together and building community through the power of a ca****la music.

In the Celebration Gala, Tunatics will present three captivating songs: 𝘚𝘦𝘱𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳, 𝘚𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘉𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘻𝘦, and 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘔𝘦. These performances will display the group’s exceptional musicality and stylistic diversity, weaving together lively rhythms, poetic beauty, and emotional depth. 💖

#吞拿魚清唱團 (Tunatics) 成立於2015年，創始於香港科技大學。🐟 🎶 團隊成員來自中國內地、香港、馬來西亞等地，多元背景鑄造豐富聲景與跨界風格。🌍

🏆 自成立以來，清唱團贏得了眾多榮譽，更多次受邀參與各類重要演出，以精湛演繹征服觀眾。他們不僅矢志推動科技大學的藝術發展，更致力於用音樂連結文化，促進跨界融合。作為香港大專界最具代表性的無伴奏清唱團體之一，他們以無伴奏人聲藝術帶來動人的表演，將音樂的力量傳遞到更廣的受眾中。

在逸夫演藝中心五週年慶典匯演中，吞拿魚清唱團將帶來三首無伴奏合唱作品：《 》、《 #春風吹》以及《 》。三首歌曲風格截然不同，或歡快動感，或溫婉細膩，或深情澎湃，必將帶來一場難忘的夜晚，讓觀眾置身於美妙的音樂旅程中。💖
