不論是多麼珍重,多麼重視,不想失去的事物,始終都會有失去的時刻。
在面對漸漸離別,逝去的親友面前,我們總是將傷痛的情感抑壓埋藏在內心的深處,不再理解與感受自身真正的感受。在短短數分鐘,數小時香火的消散當中,我們真的有足夠的時間釋懷心中悼念之情？或是於水中緩慢地分解,沉澱；沉浸於思緒之中才能夠真正化解這種難以開解的悲傷。

No matter how much you treasure, value, and the things you don't want to lose, there will always be a moment of loss.
When our family, friends, and relatives gradually leave us, we always bury our sensations deep inside our hearts and no longer comprehend our true feelings. In a few minutes or hours of the incense dissipating by burning, do we have enough time to let go of our feelings of mourning? Or a scene where the incense slowly decomposes and precipitates in water; the only way to truly resolve this emotional damage is to immerse ourselves in our thoughts.

I focus on the workers who fall asleep because of tiredness in places that are not suitable for to do so. I hope these soft sculptures will provide them with comfort. But I want to remind workers that it's better to sleep at home. That it’s warmer in bed and that it shouldn’t have to be convenient to sleep anytime, anywhere.

化妝本身正是一個矛盾。化妝可以是誘人的，但同時間亦可以是令人感到厭惡的。模特兒和社交媒體上的人總是吸引的，但我們現實中近距離觀察時卻令人噁心，由其是留在衣服和口罩上。芷蕙在作品中探索的正是這個矛盾。
芷蕙接受過化妝師培訓，她看到了化妝表達個性和創造力的潛力。然而，她看到了營銷和社交媒體的影響，人們覺得需要順從才能感覺美麗。廣告向我們推銷了一個無法複製的完美形象，即沒有毛孔、光滑的皮膚。在這個作品中，芷蕙希望我們思考為什麼要化妝，並視它作為一種藝術媒介。

At the heart of Hannah’s work is the conflicting nature of make-up. Make-up can be both alluring and repulsive. Attractive on a model or behind a screen but surprisingly gross when seen up-close, or left as residue on clothing and masks. It is this contradiction that Hannah is interested in exploring.
Hannah trained as a make-up artist and sees the potential of make-up to express individuality and creativity. However, she sees the impact that marketing and social media has, where people feel the need to conform in order to feel beautiful. Advertising sells us a perfect image that is impossible to replicate, of pore-less, smooth, hairless skin. In this work, Hannah hopes to question why we wear make-up and to celebrate its material qualities as an artistic medium.

看影片及互動目的: 在創作作品的目的就是希望讓大家體驗到瀕臨絕種的生物遇上世界災難的心聲與內心的掙扎。透過現場的互動體驗，參與者與木偶進行互動能夠進行有關係的連繫及玩樂上的趣味性。透過與木偶進行有趣的互動令參與者與觀眾在過程有着更加多的交流和打破了人與人之間的隔膜。透過製作木偶不但想保留傳統的手作和回憶，還有以創新的奇異造型及自創玩法，讓觀眾有不一樣的體驗和突破了舊有的框架。

Watching video and interactive purposes: The purpose of creating works is to let everyone experience the aspirations and inner struggles of endangered creatures in the face of world disasters. Through the interactive experience on the spot, the interaction between participants and puppets can be related and fun. Through the interesting interaction with puppets, participants and audiences have more communication in the process and break the barrier between people. By making puppets, I am not only want to keep the traditional hand-made and memories, but also make the audience have a different experience and break through the old framework with innovative strange shapes and self-created gameplay.

Artist Statement:
作品記載著我於疫情期間進行的多次冥想，它是關於內觀和與自己連結的練習。每次30分鐘內的冥想，總共進行了約426分鐘，讓我暫時與這個令人不安的社會隔離，並找回內心的平靜，每一針一線跟隨著呼吸的節奏起伏，牽引我與內在連結。

The work records the meditations I conducted during the epidemic.It's about Vipassana and connecting with oneself. The duration of each meditation was within 30 minutes, and it took about 426 minutes in total. The mediation practices allow me to temporarily isolate myself from this disturbing society and help to find my inner peace, Every stitch and thread ebbs and flows with the rhythm of my breath, guiding me to connect with my inner self.
