I've been told to write a post. I haven't written one for a while because I've been working hard drawing and painting.

I have 99% completed the move into the new studio. It is great and immediately received four commissions, one book and three ink and colour pictures. Thank you Cosmos.

Great time putting the new studio into order and enjoying the natural light. As if by magic the move has come with a commission to draw editorial cartoons for a book.

Finished moving the studio to a sea view for the eyes and an egretry/heronry for the ears, sawn wood smell for the nose. SIGH

The summer project of providing space and materials for young artists has been an outstanding success, in that it shows creativity in Hong Kong is doomed. Such helpful comments to young artists can be summed up as " you didn't paint that" and "don't be late for you martial arts class, etc"

Still being lazy but showing some people that they can draw. One rule they can draw what they like but not better than me. This rule is always ignored.
The National Gallery Ireland have an exhibition "Roderic O'Conner And The Moderns" I have the catalogue, the paintings are jaw dropping.

Great ! Taking a rest and getting used to no deadlines. That said I have been asked to give a talk to university students about illustration and am looking forward to that.
One of Kate's students has finished her first sketch book, well done her.

Working with young artists, their enthusiasm and pleasure when they finish a drawing, all of the drawings are of the same subject, but have their own personalities. Rewarding stuff.

This week had two days off, very nice. Between commissions and having difficulty to choose what to do.
