「Other Worlds」將會喺雲咸街殿堂級音樂表演場地 Aftermath 隆重舉行！10 月 11 日星期三夜晚 8 點至凌晨 1 點，四位音樂人會各展所長，帶嚟一個充滿環境音、輕鬆、實驗、聲音景觀、電子同空靈風格嘅夜晚，機會難逢！

DJ Fabsabs 先會以一段段觸動人心嘅廣東歌 sample，加以混音同將節奏變慢，營造迷幻又神秘嘅實驗風格為活動打開序幕。熱身過後，作曲家兼電子製作人 Timothy Fairless 會接棒表演兩首作品。第一首《Hydrostasis》充斥夢幻而神秘嘅氣氛，零散嘅音效同於香港各處收音嘅音效穿插其中。緊接其後嘅係另一首作品《Rising Water》，作品完全以水杯聲響製作，一開始聲調單一猶如冥想，之後出現深沉嘅嗡嗡聲，以重低音嘅節奏構建出旋律嘅輪廓同聲音嘅厚度。

緊接 Timothy 出場嘅 achi，會將充滿環境風格同實驗風格，同時富故事性嘅作品帶到舞台。化名 achi 嘅 John Leung 曾經係獨立樂隊 Minor. 嘅一員，後來以單飛作品打出名堂。最近推出嘅《SKETCHTAPE VOL.1.》入面，achi 從騷靈、Motown、Dijon、Brakence、Boylife、J Dilla、Toro y Moi、JPEGMAFIA 等等出其不意嘅樂曲汲取靈感，從而建構出極具個人風格嘅實驗 hip hop 世界，令佢嘅眾多本港製作人中突圍而出。

壓軸出場嘅 Casey Anderson 同 Misty Penguin 會以稀疏嘅節拍、斷斷續續嘅電影音樂、環境錄音、浮誇嘅電子音效、立體聲敲擊樂、樂隊式曲調、管弦樂編曲、迷幻曲風，加上段段夜場音樂同記憶片段，嘗試顛覆環境音樂嘅刻板印象！

咁嘅陣容同歌曲風格，講真喺 Aftermath，甚至喺香港都好少有，所以千祈唔好錯過呢千載難逢嘅音樂盛典啦！

Other Worlds is coming to Wyndham Street's premier music venue the Aftermath on Wednesday 11 October from 8pm to 1am. The night delivers a rarely seen evening of ambient, chilled out, experimental, soundscape, electronic and ethereal music, with four artists that are serving up sets with a difference.

DJ Fabsabs kicks off the evening with a warm up of experimental ambient and blended and time stretched Cantopop samples that is emotive and provocative, setting the tone for the varied sounds to come. Next up, composer and electronic producer Timothy Fairless will be playing two compositions for the audience. The first, “Hydrostasis” is an ambient dreamscape full of granularised samples and field recordings from Hong Kong. Timothy will follow this up with another piece called “Rising Water”, made entirely from glasses of water. Meditative and atonal at the start, deep drones emerge, it moves through bass-heavy pulses and beats to build contour and intensity.

After Timothy finishes, achi will bring his blend of atmospheric, experimental, and storytelling to the stage. The alter-ego of John Leung, previously part of indie band minor., achi has been turning heads with his solo production. The recent release of “SKETCHTAPE VOL.1., achi takes inspiration from unlikely sources that could include soul, Motown, Dijon, Brakence, Boylife, J Dilla, Toro y Moi, JPEGMAFIA, constructing his own world of experimental hip hop, and making him stand out amongst the pack of Hong Kong producers.

To round off the evening, Casey Anderson and Misty Penguin will be playing a set to challenge concepts of what ambient music is: sparse beats, chopped up film music, field recordings, majestic electronic splattering of sound, percussive surround sound, band-like compositions, orchestral arrangement, psychedelica, snatched glimpses of club music, snippets of heard memories… anything will go!

It will be like nothing The Aftermath has heard before, and indeed there is rarely anything like this in Hong Kong. Don’t miss out on a unique evening of musical delight.

Holunjeng Records is proud to present the "different" EP featuring Hong Kong based Kazakh artist Fedor Yury; a mysterious producer known only as "Overachiever"; and Timothy Fairless, music-maker and video artist from Brisbane, Australia. Aside from the ebullient original "different" from Fedor Yury, we are especially excited to have a remix from Timothy Fairless, who produces atmospheric ambient and experimental sounds using processed field recordings with acoustic instruments and synthesizers. His adventurous sounds come to the fore on this Ep, with a soundscape kaleidoscope of atmospheric brilliance that takes the original and reimagines it as slow burning composition recalling the likes of Jean-Michel Jarre, Giorgio Moroder, Hans Zimmer, diving into the likes of drone, film score, and spiritual music. Rounding off the EP is a remix by "Overachiever", a mysterious producer who remains in the shadows but comes bounding in with a melodic dark techno take on Fedor's original. Happy listening!

Next up, is James Hedges new side project Tropical Depression, with original Psychedelic Surf and Gothic Yacht Rock. Following this, local rap heroes and acclaimed artists Zack Calixtus and Govi Dhaliwal play a blistering set of Hip Hop goodness. Finally, Dan Neo will share his eclectic DJ mix across a range of House, Electronic and Techno styles - who knows where the journey will end up! 喺Fabsabs開始佢嘅夏日逍遙遊之前，一於搞個party同佢餞行啦！當晚Fabsabs本人會聯同The Borscht Brothers 嘅Jon Lee打響頭炮，以生鬼嘅敲擊樂混合hip hop、funk、motown、rock K-pop同Cantopop等元素為party熱身。之後會有新組合Tropical Depression 嘅 James Hedges，帶嚟psychedelic surf同gothic yacht rock風嘅原創作品。之後，土炮星級rapper Zack Calixtus 同Govi Dhaliwal會為大家呈獻一連串火力十足嘅rap歌。最後，Dan Neo將展示佢靈活過人嘅混音技巧，帶領大家走一趟充滿house、電子同techno風格嘅奇幻旅程。Fabsabs登上過世界各地嘅大小舞台，想喺佢踏上另一段旅程前睇到佢嘅演出，就唔好錯過呢個party啦！到時見！
