2023 ACADEMIC YEAR - REGISTRATION INFORMATION
The E.R. Burrowes School of Art offers four distinct programmes:
1. Part-time Beginners Certificate of one (1) year duration
2. Part-time Diploma in Fine Arts (DFA)
3.The Certificate in Fine Arts (CFA) of three (3) years duration
4.The Diploma in Fine Arts (DFA) of four (4) years duration
Course areas offered include Drawing, Graphic Design, Ceramics, Photography, Painting, Leather Art, Sculpture, Jewellery, and Textile Construction & Design. Compulsory theoretical subjects include Caribbean Studies, Art History, Basic Design, and Entrepreneurship.
Applicants for admission to the E.R.BSA are classified as follows:
1. Recent secondary school graduates. (16+)
2. Mature students 25 years and older, full-time or part-time.
3. Cyril Potter Teachers' Training College graduates
4. Critchlow Labour College graduates
5. International Students
6. Applicants who are not graduates but have completed college-level courses from the University of Guyana, the Cyril Potter Teacher's Training College, or any other recognised Education Institution may transfer the credits they earned towards the CFA and DFA Programmes provided they are comparable to courses offered at the E.R.BSA. Transfers can be made after passing the first years courses and Portfolio Review. Applicants in all categories must submit a completed application form with the required fees and all documents appropriate to the relevant categories to the Main Office of the E.R.BSA.
The next cycle of registration begins in JULY/AUGUST 2023. Application forms can be picked up and filled out at our main office on Carifesta Avenue.
Alternatively, forms can be downloaded via the following link, filled out & then dropped off at the E.R. Burrowes School of Art in a sealed envelope, labeled "Application - [Your Name]", between 9:00 am & 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Strict Covid-19 protocols are in place and must be followed to ensure student & faculty safety.
NOTE: All new applicants to the E.R.BSA must take a drawing and or specialty subject studio test and present a portfolio of their previously created work for review.
No tuition fee is charged for full-time programmes, nor for the part-time diploma programme. However, students must pay the required registration, library, and locker fees.
