Book Review
Uninvited by

I bought this book about 3 years ago and started reading it but didn’t finished...
I started reading it again, because I knew I just dropped it but it had been in my nightstand for all those years.
Rejection is not an easy topic, and for some of us who might not have been tragically rejected, to accept we sometimes feel rejected and unloved is not easy. I really liked how there is so much scripture in this book and how it opens our eyes to truth while reading Lysa’s vulnerable story.
I accompanied the book with the video study from Lysa in Israel and it was a perfect fit!

I took a long time to do this entry, not because it was complicated but what I wanted to show was artistically difficul, I wanted to show white as snow... and I have never painted snow and had no clue how to do it.
After some days I just said well let’s read this again and see what are those verses that I want to remember apart from white as snow, and I came up with this... very simple, but the heart is still white as snow... 😃

I feel blessed to have completed this book during these two months of “quarantine”.
GET OUT OF YOUR HEAD from Jennie Allen Is a book that every Christian woman should read! To understand that we all have anxious thoughts and that those can be taking us to live in a way we don’t want to and that doesn’t honor God is sooo important.
To grasp in a practical way how to renew our mind and take every thought captive, was so helpful.
It was wonderful to accompany this book with the Bible Study of Phillipians, and also the Book Club Guide as this became a weapon to fight the enemy over the control of your mind!
This is the first book I read from her, but it was so eye opening, I did accompanied my reading with the Made for This podcast Season 3. It just allowed me to get deeper into what I was learning.

Psalm 50 - This psalm confirm how all those sacrifices like the lamb or the pigeons were perfect but were given to God with the incorrect heart. Here God says that the best sacrifice we can give him is THANKFULNESS! and there is a beautiful promise with this mandate which is that he will rescue us upon our call , and then we will give Him glory.
When you are thankful it doesn’t end when God helps you it always goes further with you praising God and giving Him the glory for taking you out of it!

Psalm 49 - ... but as for me, God will redeem my life!
This psalm reflects on how everyone rich or poor, good or bad, with bad intentions or very good luck die, and how all the possessions and successes are nothing when you die!
It reflects on how for me, and you, if we believe that is non important as this God will redeem our lives and save us from Sheol.

Couple of weeks ago I finished a real book treat! My second Francine River’s, A Voice in the Wind, and what is the beginning of a wonderful Christian story... full of history and historic details shinning and portraying the life and the challenges of Hadasa a Christian young woman in the middle of a corrupted world, the world of the Roman Empire. I learnt so much, I enjoyed the descriptive detail and I cried like crazy! This is the first of 3 of the same series, and I totally recommend them!
It was really nice to read this book which was gifted by one of my dearest friends in Christ. This was one of her favorite novels and she gave it to me when she went to live abroad... 🙂🥰

continuing with the book of Judges... I am loving Gideon’s life!
I think we often complain to God saying we have too little things, friends, support, whatever... we really think we would be better off with more! What if God is telling you: You have too many ###x

God did this with Gideon to show him that He is enough, that you will never be outnumbered if you are with God and you are obeying his words!
