👋 Hi everyone! I am Lidiia and this is the beginning of my journey through Petén, and this was my first sunset on the magical Isla de Flores 🌺 😍

I’m honestly speechless… The palms, the lake, the reflections, the silence — it’s breathtaking.
I saw all this beauty from my room at ramadatikaldeflores and couldn’t believe my eyes.
🇬🇹 A few things you should know about Flores:
• It’s a small island in the middle of Lake Petén Itzá, connected to the mainland by a short causeway.
• Once a powerful Maya city called Noj Petén, it was one of the last to fall to the Spanish — rich in history and mystery.
• With its colorful colonial houses and cobbled streets, it feels like a postcard you can walk through.
💛 Guatemala truly stole my heart.
And this sunset? I’ll never forget it.

🌅 Vista desde mi habitación de hotel:
Me quedé sin palabras… Las palmas, el lago, los reflejos, el silencio… ¡simplemente impresionante!
Vi toda esta belleza desde mi habitación en el ramadatikaldeflores y no podía creer lo que estaba viendo.
🇬🇹 Algunos datos interesantes sobre Flores:
• Es una pequeña isla en medio del Lago Petén Itzá, conectada al continente por un corto puente.
• Antiguamente fue una poderosa ciudad maya llamada Noj Petén, una de las últimas en caer ante los españoles — llena de historia y misterio.
• Con sus casas coloniales coloridas y calles empedradas, parece una postal hecha realidad.
💛 Guatemala realmente me robó el corazón.
¿Y este atardecer? Nunca lo voy a olvidar.
