We have created the Arts and crafts village “Verekinthos”.

Καλωσήρθατε στο χωριό της τέχνης…

Δημιουργήσαμε το καλλιτεχνικό χωριό “Βερέκυνθος” με κύριο στόχο την ανάδειξη των τεχνών που ήταν συνυφασμένες πάντα με τη ζωή και τον πολιτισμό του κρητικού λαού. Το καλλιτεχνικό χωριό βρίσκεται ανάμεσα στη Σούδα και τα Τσικαλαριά, στην ανατολική είσοδο της πόλης των Χανίων. Στο σημείο αυτό λειτουργούσαν παλαιότερα εργαστήρια κατασκευής τσικαλιών, δίνοντας την ανάλογη ονομασία στο χωριό.
Αντικείμενα που μαρτυρούν την παράδοση του χωριού στην κατασκευή κεραμικών και άλλων έργων, αποτελούν δυο παλιά καμίνια στα οποία οι αγγειοπλάστες έψηναν με ξύλα τα κεραμικά τους. Σήμερα, στο ίδιο μέρος λειτουργούν εργαστήρια κεραμικής, γλυπτικής, αργυροχρυσοχοΐας, υαλουργίας, δερμάτινων ειδών, αγιογραφίας, ζωγραφικής, ψηφιδωτού, κατασκευής μάσκας, διακοσμητικών εφαρμογών, χειροποίητων ειδών γάμου και παραδοσιακών κρητικών μαχαιριών. Verekinthos is a model environment for reviving and sustaining the arts which have been always an integral part of Cretan life and culture. Arts and crafts village “Verekinthos” stands between Souda and Tsikalaria, at the eastern gate of Chania. At this same place there were many workshops producing pots (tsikalia), giving thus the name to the town. They are some objects that bear witness to the village’s tradition in pottery and other works, such as the old kilns, where potters used to bake their products. Today, in the very same place we run silversmith’s and goldsmith’s as well workshops for ceramics, sculpture, glass making, hagiography, painting, masks, mosaic, leather, decorative objects and traditional Cretan knifes.

Κύκλος δημιουργικής ραπτικής για ενήλικες
Από την πρώτη ραφή… στη δική σου τσάντα!

Ένας κύκλος 12 δίωρων συναντήσεων για όσους θέλουν να γνωρίσουν τη ραπτική μέσα από την πράξη — δημιουργώντας αντικείμενα και αξεσουάρ που θα χρησιμοποιούν πραγματικά.

Ξεκινάμε από τα βασικά: γνωρίζουμε τη ραπτομηχανή και μαθαίνουμε σταδιακά διαφορετικές τεχνικές, μέσα από κάθε νέο project.

✂️ Στη διάρκεια του κύκλου θα δημιουργήσουμε:
• Tote bag με τσέπη
• Νεσεσέρ με φερμουάρ
• Scrunchies & κορδέλα μαλλιών
• Θήκες μαξιλαριού με διαφορετικά τελειώματα
• Θήκη γυαλιών & υφασμάτινο μπρελόκ
• Drawstring backpack με φόδρα & εσωτερική τσέπη
• Τσαντάκι ώμου / χιαστί με καπάκι
• Buff / υφασμάτινο λαιμό
Και στις 3 τελευταίες συναντήσεις περνάμε από το «ακολουθώ ένα σχέδιο» στο δημιουργώ το δικό μου:
✨ FINAL PROJECT — Σχεδιάζω & ράβω τη δική μου τσάντα
Επιλέγουμε σχήμα, διαστάσεις, υφάσματα, τσέπες, λουριά και λεπτομέρειες και μετατρέπουμε τη δική μας ιδέα σε ένα ολοκληρωμένο αντικείμενο.
