Through the art of contemporary dance and music, this artistic creation is a combination of speech, movement and music, and seeks to express the psyche of the heroes of the tragedy while exploring the moral and ethical dilemmas that emerge from the tragedy. It seeks to explore the symbiosis of human nature and power, as well as the delicate balance of individuality and collective responsibility in contemporary society.

The contemporary dance choreographies, with a combined technical and expressive approach, interpret the conflicts that emerge from ancient tragedy and the conflicts that present themselves in a new dimension in modern times.

The musical composition is an original creation, inspired by the emotions that emerge through the intense conflicts in this play by Sophocles and is an essential part of the performance. It interweaves electronic and acoustic soundscapes and has been enriched with words and song lyrics based on the ancient text in a free rendering in modern Greek. At certain points, the original ancient text is narrated and set to music.

A contemporary dance theatre performance inspired by Homer's "The Odyssey" reimagines the timeless journey of Odysseus through powerful physical storytelling and emotionally charged original music.

Performed by a cast of highly trained professional dancers, the production blends modern choreography with theatrical expression, creating a vivid exploration of adventure, temptation, loss, as well as the search one's own Ithaca and the deeper meaning of the journey itself.

Dynamic choreographies, theatrical scenes and immersive soundscapes transform the ancient myth into a stage experience, where classical themes meet modern artistic vision in a performance that is both visually captivating and deeply human.

Experience Skiathos from the perspective of the world-famous author Alexandros Papadiamantis, who was born in Skiathos island in 1851. Accompanied by music, soundscapes and stories, you will get to know prominent places from the author's books, like The Murderess. With original music from the Papadiamantis performances of the Skiathos Garden Theatre, you can immerse yourself in the Skiathos of 150 years ago, learn more about the island and Papadiamantis' life and listen to the first worldwide recording of the instrument bouzouki from the nephew of A. Papadiamantis in 1917.

Under the guidance of Athina Papageorgiou (former President of the Papadiamantis House Museum for 35 years).
