New Risen Throne @ Rethymno Rocks! #6

Οι New Risen Throne είναι ένα πολύ σημαντικό και ευρέως αναγνωρισμένο ιταλικό Dark Αmbient μουσικό σχήμα, το οποίο αποτελεί προσωπικό project του καλλιτέχνη Gabriele Panci (γνωστού και ως Stielh). Τα ηχοτοπία των New Risen Throne εκφράζονται μέσα από θεματικούς κύκλους που πραγματεύονται την παρακμή και την αναγέννηση. Μέσα από την συνειδητοποίηση του αναπόφευκτου τέλους των πάντων οι New Risen Throne μας ταξιδεύουν στα ισοπεδωμένα μέρη του εσωτερικού μας κόσμου μέσα από δυστοπικές ηχητικές διαδρομές πέρα από τα όρια της ζωής, εστιάζοντας στον θάνατο, την επιστροφή στις αρχέγονες ρίζες και την αναγέννηση και ανοικοδόμηση μέσα από τα ερείπια. Ο ήχος τους ειναι μονολιθικός και συμπαγής, με χαμηλές συχνότητες και ξεσπάσματα, δομημένος έτσι ώστε να δημιουργεί σκιώδεις ηχητικές “παρουσίες” που υλοποιούνται μπροστά μας, δημιουργώντας την αίσθηση μιας αποξενωτικής αλλά ταυτόχρονα υπερβατικής εμπειρίας… New Risen Throne για πρώτη φορά στην Ελλάδα, την Τετάρτη 26 Αυγούστου στον Προμαχώνα Αγ. Πάυλου της Φορτέτζας.

New Risen Throne is a very significant and widely respected Italian Dark Ambient act, a personal project of the artist Gabriele Panci (also known as Stielh). New Risen Throne's soundscapes are expressed through thematic cycles that deal with decline and rebirth. Through the realization of the inevitable end of everything, New Risen Throne takes us on a journey to the fractured aspects of our inner being, through dystopian sonic journeys beyond the boundaries of life, focusing on death, the return to primordial roots, rebirth and rebuilding from the ruins. Their sound is monolithic and solid, with low frequencies and outbursts, structured in such a way as to create shadowy sonic “presences” that materialize before us, creating the feeling of an alienating but at the same time transcendental experience… New Risen Throne live for the first time in Greece, on Wednesday, August 26th at St. Paul’s Bastion of the Fortezza.

Vestigial @ Rethymno Rocks! #6

Οι Ιταλοί Vestigial του Giuseppe Ferillo έρχονται την Τετάρτη 26 Αυγούστου στον Προμαχώνα Αγ. Παύλου της Φορτέτζας, στην παρθενική εμφάνιση του σχήματος στην Ελλάδα. Το δυστοπικό σύμπαν των Vestigial θα παρουσιαστεί στην ολότητά του επί σκηνης, συνδυάζοντας με μοναδικό τρόπο εφιαλτικά Dark Ambient ηχοτοπία με έντονες cinematic και ritualistic πινελιές. Η χαώδης άβυσσος που παίρνει σάρκα και οστά μέσα από τους ήχους των Vestigial υπόσχεται να μαγέψει και να παρασύρει τους πάντες στο διάβα της, σε μια μουσική “εξερεύνηση” που ακροβατεί μεταξύ γαλήνης και καταστροφικής δύναμης. Από το “Translucent Communion” ως και το “Descending Vastness”, οι Vestigial θα μας ταξιδέψουν σε άλλους κόσμους όπου το σκοτάδι ζωντανεύει, μαγεύει, κυριεύει και κυριαρχεί.

Vestigial from Italy, fronted by Giuseppe Ferillo will perform their Greek debut show on Wednesday, August 26th at the St. Paul's Bastion of the Fortezza. The dystopian universe of Vestigial will be presented in its entirety on stage, combining nightmarish Dark Ambient soundscapes with intense cinematic and ritualistic touches in an utterly unique way. The chaotic abyss that takes shape through the sounds of Vestigial promises to enchant and lure everyone along its path, in a musical "exploration" that balances between serenity and utter destructive force. From "Translucent Communion" to "Descending Vastness", Vestigial will take us on a journey to other worlds where darkness comes to life, enchants, takes over and dominates.

City Kids - Motörhead Tribute Band @ Rethymno Rocks! #6

Με έδρα την Αθήνα, οι City Kids πρωτοσυστήθηκαν στο κοινό το 2017. Όλα ξεκίνησαν ως μια βαθιά επιθυμία να αποτελέσουν ένα tribute στους Motörhead που θα αναπαράγει τον ήχο και το πνεύμα τους, πιστά και χωρίς καμία έκπτωση σε ποιότητα. Μια μπάντα που κάποιος θα ανυπομονεί να δει ζωντανά, “ένα Σάββατο βράδυ”. Μετά από πληθώρα εμφανίσεων σε ολόκληρη την Ελλάδα κι έχοντας πάρει την έγκριση από το επίσημο fan club των Motörhead, τους Motörheadbangers, όσο κι από τον Lucas Fox - ιδρυτικό μέλος και πρώτο drummer τους - αναγνωρίζονται αυτή τη στιγμή διεθνώς, ως ένα από τα κορυφαία tributes για τον Lemmy και την παρέα του! Ως highlights της εώς τώρα πορείας των Kids θα μπορούσαν να ξεχωρίσουν:

♤ Η εμφάνισή τους τον Οκτώβριο του 2019 με καλεσμένο τον Lucas Fox (On Parole in Athens),

♤ Live act στις δύο συγκεντρώσεις των Motörheadbangers στην Αθήνα το 2018 και το 2024,

♤ Tο αφιέρωμα για τα 30 χρόνια από τις πρώτες συναυλίες του Lemmy και της παρέας του στην Αθήνα το 1988 (2018), και

♤ Το Lemmy Lives, μια μεγαλειώδης εκδήλωση για τα 50 χρόνια Motörhead και 10 χωρίς τον Lemmy (Gazarte - Αθήνα, 12/2025)

Την Πέμπτη 27 Αυγούστου οι City Kids ανεβαίνουν στο Hill Stage της Φορτέτζας για το μεγαλύτερο Motörhead party που έχει γίνει ποτέ επί Κρητικού εδάφους!

Based in Athens, City Kids first came to the public in 2017. It all started as a deep desire to become a tribute to Motörhead that would faithfully reproduce their sound and spirit without any compromise in quality. A band that one would look forward to seeing live, “on a Saturday night”. After numerous shows throughout Greece and having received approval from the official Motörhead fan club, the Motörheadbangers, as well as from Lucas Fox - their founding member and first drummer - they are currently acknowledged internationally as one of the top tribute acts to Lemmy and his gang! Highlights of the Kids' journey so far include:

♤ Show in October 2019 with Lucas Fox as guest (On Parole in Athens),

♤ Live at the two Motörheadbangers gatherings in Athens in 2018 and 2024,

♤ Tribute for the 30th anniversary of Lemmy and his gang's first concerts in Athens in 1988 (2018), and

♤Lemmy Lives, a grand event for the 50 years of Motörhead and 10 years without Lemmy (Gazarte - Athens, 12/2025)

On Thursday, August 27, City Kids will take to the Hill Stage of Fortezza for the biggest Motörhead party ever held on Cretan soil!

Druid @ Rethymno Rocks! #6

Οι Druid είναι ένα τετραμελές συγκρότημα από την Αθήνα που δημιουργήθηκε στα Χανιά το 2023 στο Πολυτεχνείο Κρήτης από φοιτητές με κοινό πάθος για την μουσική. Τον Οκτώβριο του 2025 κυκλοφόρησαν τον πολύ αξιόλογο πρώτο τους δίσκο “Way of Decay” και έδειξαν από νωρίς τις σοβαρές προθέσεις τους καθώς και τη δυναμικότητά και φρεσκάδα τους επί σκηνής με πολλές live εμφανίσεις. Με έμφαση στο συνδυασμό μελωδίας και τραχύτητας και με τον αέρα μιας δουλεμένης και ελπιδοφόρας νέας μπάντας, οι Druid θα ανοίξουν με ενέργεια και τσαμπουκά το Σάββατο 29 Αυγούστου! Ανυπομονούμε να τους υποδεχτούμε!

Druid is a four-piece act from Athens that was formed in Chania in 2023 at the Technical University of Crete by students with a shared passion for music. In October 2025 they released their awesome debut album “Way of Decay” and showed early on that they mean serious business while subsequently playing numerous powerful shows all around. Being a hard-working and promising new band emphasizing on the balanced combination of melody, energy and extremity, Druid’s slot on Saturday, August 29th at this year’s Rethymno Rocks! is more than well-deserved. We can’t wait to welcome them on stage!
