Fragility and importance are two very different concepts for each person. Everyone has a perspective of what is significant to him and what is to be considered as fragile, depended on personal values and parameters. Nowadays, more than ever, the subject matter of these concepts has changed and there is an irrational fear arising from the feeling of fear itself. We are afraid of the natural effect of deterioration and loss; thus, one tries to protect what is considered as important or fragile in every possible way.
Performance "Wrapping the Fragileness" is an allegorical act, a surreal way to realize that nothing is safe and secure, at the same time that everything can be. That is to say, in a Schrodinger equation, everything is fluid and dependent on many parameters, and we simply understand the result.
Kanellopoulou wraps various objects very carefully with bubble wrap, to protect them from any possible damage; something that we do literally and metaphorically in our daily lives. However, objects lose or are deprived of their usability and features in the new protection, which had been set.

My goal was (and still is) the sustainability of the environment and a respectful manner to live and share this planet with all of the living creatures and so on.
Temporary, I stand numbed, trying to understand while mourning for the big disasters of Siberia and Amazon as well as my country's wild fires in forests, which were indicated as significantly important by Natura Center.
Stay tuned please. 🌍🌎🌏
Soon, I will come back with artistic and environmental actions.
