Predstavujeme rezidentov tretieho ročníka SKUSY, v Aténach už tento Október

Michal Mitro Mižu je interdisciplinárny umelec a výskumník. Po predošlých štúdiách psychológie a sociológie sa vo svojej tvorbe zaoberá otázkami každodenného života a hyperobjektmi v planetárnom meradle. Vytvára sochárske prostredia s prvkami zvuku, svetla a digitálnych technológií, v ktorých reflektuje sociologickú imagináciu. Zaoberá sa vzťahmi medzi ľudským a viac, ako ľudským svetom a trecími plochami medzi umelým a prirodzeným. Jeho inštalácie spájajú príbehy upokojenia a znepokojenia a ponúkajú úvahy o tom, ako by mohla vyzerať udržateľná budúcnosť ľudstva. Je postdoktorandským výskumníkom v oblasti elektrotechniky na VUT v Brne a taktiež držiteľom licencie na prácu s elektrickou energiou a autonómnymi solárnymi systémami. V roku 2022 sa stal laureátom Ceny Oskára Čepana. Žije a pracuje v Brne.

Predstavujeme rezidentov tretieho ročníka SKUSY, v Aténach už tento Október

Nikola Balberčáková je vizuálna umelkyňa, žije a tvorí medzi Prahou a Bratislavou. Vo svojej tvorbe kombinuje techniky videa, inštalácie a performance a vytvára tzv. emocionálne krajiny reflektujúce dnešnú spoločnosť, mocenské štruktúry a naše identity ako nástroj rezistencie v nich. Zaoberá sa najmä identitami, ktoré sú ťažko zaraditeľné či multivrstevnaté na spektre tzv. politickej ľavice a pravice. Hyperbolizované, afektívne, naivné či podivné charaktery v jej dielach vytvárajú fikčné naratívy a rekonštruujú tak dominantný spoločenský scenár, ktorými najmä skrze feministickú perspektívu spytuje rôznorodé formy osobného a spoločenského šťastia v súčasnej spoločnosti.
