Irish Wings presents Irish music, poetry, art and cuisine on the Greek island of Paxos. Its events explore ways in which artists transcend disciplines and national and geographical boundaries and showcases the dialogue of Irish culture with Greece. Happening annually as part of the Paxos International Music Festival, it features some of Ireland’s best musicians, painters, poets and chefs. The even

ts will take place in intimate venues, designed to engage the audience with the artists. Its aim is to reveal the richness, variety and nuances of Irish culture to a Greek audience, the Greek media and the international residents and visitors (20 different nationalities) of this beautiful island in the Ionian sea.

We’d like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh on receiving the 2026 Fiddlers Green Festival Hall of Fame Award – a richly deserved honour recognising her outstanding contribution to Irish traditional music.

It was a privilege to welcome Muireann to Paxos, where her artistry and generosity helped make this year’s festival so memorable.

We also want to wish our Artistic Director, Dónal O’Connor, every success with TradFest and all that lies ahead. Thank you, Dónal, for your vision, passion and unwavering commitment to sharing Irish traditional music with audiences at home, around the world and of course here in Paxos!!!

Congratulations, Muireann, and best of luck, Dónal. We look forward to seeing where the music takes you both next. ☘️🎻
