Eduardo Kobra | David, Carrara, Italy

Kobra takes Michelangelo’s David and rebuilds him through color, geometry and fragmentation, almost as if looking at a classical masterpiece through the rhythm of a modern city.

The mural was created in Carrara, the same Italian city where Michelangelo sourced the marble for the original sculpture centuries ago.

And that tension is what makes the work so interesting:

Renaissance precision meeting contemporary visual overload.
History meeting pop culture.

Suspended somewhere between cinema, atmosphere, and psychological space, his works dissolve the boundary between real locations and internal landscapes.

Soft horizons, fading light, and blurred distances create scenes that feel strangely familiar, as if they belong to a memory you’re not entirely sure is yours.

Somewhere between painting, emotion, and recollection, his landscapes feel less observed than remembered.

For one race weekend, EDEN landed at one of the final turns of the Monaco circuit.

From early afternoon into late night, Velocity Terrace became a meeting point between contemporary art, racing culture, music, and the constant movement surrounding the city during its busiest weekend of the year.

With the circuit just below the terrace, the sound of the race moving through the space, and shifting between live painting and DJ sets, EDEN transformed the weekend into something beyond hospitality or nightlife - building a space where art became part of the rhythm of Monaco itself.

A lifelong traveler, Viejo builds portraits the way memory holds onto people, in fragments, emotion, texture and flashes of light.

Using layers of resin, glass and transparency, his works shift constantly between presence and distortion, clarity and disappearance. The closer you look, the less stable the image becomes.

Somewhere between painting, reflection and fractured memory, his portraits feel less captured than remembered.
