Mykonos Biennale

Mykonos Biennale Sept. 25 - Sept. 30
Mykonos Biennale 2025 - 9, The Amphibian

The Mykonos Biennale is a cult event which brings together artists from all over the world to create something new, to break the borders of their own art, using the telluric energy and hermetic beauty of this cosmopolitan island. Returning to the essence of the island: Sexy, hippy, historic nudist-naturalists, paganistic and mythic is the Mykonos Biennale Destination. The international multicultu

ral events will interact with the local memories, traditions and historical spaces creating a unique experimental event. The art exhibitions, the installations, and performances of the artists, the musicians and dance group will spread through out the monasteries, the museums, the old houses, the ancient island of Delos, the windmills and other monumental buildings, like a treasure map of the old island. The heart of the festival is the Cine Mando which will host the first open air video film festival.

“Through air impulses, a soundscape takes shape, while a field of wandering opens up right there, from the lungs to the ears, the garden become the score.”
- Joseph Coëffic

Joseph Coëffic’s Pulmonary Drifts is an interactive audio performance composed through handmade, ephemeral clay instruments, unfolding within and responding to the Garden of Mysteries soundscape.

Based in Brussels, Belgium, Joseph Coëffic is currently studying at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. His work explores the tension between memory and imagination by reactivating narratives rooted in history or entirely invented. Through the combination of sound and image, he creates works that invite new perspectives on these stories. His practice seeks to provoke an experience in which the boundaries between reality and fiction become porous, revealing new ways of inhabiting both the past and the present.

Melki Simon

MOTHERS WOMB
I can’t see the light
But I can breathe
For me you put things aright
Can I stay longer please
You carry me all the time
O African woman
What shall I render to recompense in due time
Introduce me to life as a new one
