Fighter planes, seaplanes, helicopters, paratroopers and balloons fill the sky of Kavala every June, in an impressive spectacle, which has been established as one of the most important events our city has to offer with only 3 years of presence. More than 40,000 people gather in the coastal area of the city (over 3.5 kilometers) and apart from watching the aircraft acrobatics they also participate
in the side events. The amphitheatric structure of Kavala makes the Air Show visible from almost anywhere in the city. It is estimated that approximately 230,000 people have watched the Show in the past three years. The number of spectators increases every year. It is estimated that only last year more than 80,000 people have watched the show, while this year, the number of spectators is expected to double, due to the longer duration (5 or 6 days ), the promotion of the event in Greece and abroad and its huge success the previous years
