It’s been now a few months that we are back from our trip, and we would like to take the time to thank, one by one, all the people who have made this project possible.

In Italy:

Marco and Paola, for being our first hosts on this crazy journey, making us the best squash pasta we have ever had and showing us the ‘Makaki’!

Angelo and Maria, for the incredible hospitality of their entire Sicilian family - and the now famous “non posso mangiare piu”!

Carlos, for the serenity and peacefulness we found in his flat.

Jazmin, for her last-minute generosity and all the paintings we discovered in her house.

Nico, for the music evening we shared together and the very tasty wine risotto he made us, who knew an Italian would know so much about Polka, Bourrées and French folk music in general?!

Elisa and all her flatmates, for the amazing (and very French/Italian) “raclette” dinner they prepared for us!

Alessio and his two children, for being the ones who had to bear with us the longest despite our poor Italian.

Francesco and Bennie, for inviting our friends at their table and being so enthusiastic about our first real show in Italy!

Matthias and Silvia, for introducing us to Verona and to tuna/olive pasta.

Donatella, for all the hard work she has put into this adorable meeting between us and Verona’s cycling community (and these articles about our puppet project!)

Carlo and his wife Michela, for our UNBELIEVABLE stay in their agritourist house and restaurant for free: Palazzetto Ardi (if you want to check it out: http://www.palazzettoardi.it/), we were truly treated like kings and queens!

Alastair and Margaretta, for offering us a place to stay when it was pouring rain outside, and a great dinner with their friends.

Angela, Martina and Giulia – for the fun evening in front of the most famous Italian music festival with hotdogs and fries!

Gabriella, for welcoming us at the home of the official Italian Star Trek fan club !! :)
Isabella and her family, for the shock they had when they discovered that we were on actual bikes and not on motorbikes, for the incredible ride we had to Visintini (that we would have never discovered without them), their unbelievably nice cat and their simplicity in everything.

Andrea, for being the best tour guide we could have found in Trieste, if you need to know something about this town, don’t hire any tour guide, go see HIM, most enthusiastic Couchsurfing host in Italy!

In Slovenia:

Mojca, Sara and Luca, for sharing with us your daily life and travel philosophy.

Kristina, her mother and boyfriend, for the nicest dinner Noémie had had for a long time!

In Croatia:

Aleksandra, her sister and her family, for being the most creative family we have met on the road and all the energy they have spent to feed us and drive us around Porec, your family and house are like a fairy tale!

Bojana and her family, for the funny movies, the good food and all the giant stories we have discovered in Pazin.

Ivana and her boyfriend, for exchanging around our travel experience after our long ride to the top of Labin’s main hill, and for the night we spent next to a beautiful iguana.

Valentina and her boyfriend, for offering us to stay with them for more than four days to be able to participate to Rijeka’s Carnival!

Lucia, for taking the time to show us everything she likes in Jadranovo, for being the most supportive host ever and still sending us messages today

Yesterday, we had the honour (and the pleasure) to celebrate Easter the Greek way with our wonderful host, Petropoulou and her family. An incredible day with incredible people that we will never forget!

A couple of days ago, we were in Ioannina (Greece) where we met Socrates, a professional puppeter from Antrala Puppet Theater - who is amazing at his job! We were like kids in a toy shop. We had the chance (on a rainy afternoon) to spend time with him in his workshop, try out all of his puppets and exchange ideas around puppet making. A truly inspiring meeting for our future productions!

Crossed the border into Greece!
A mere 500km left to Athens!! And on our first day in this country we have already witnessed the incredible hospitality of the Greeks! Just look at what a nearby fairy placed in front of our tent this morning (after having invited us in, dirty and sweaty, for a delicious dinner!) a great start to nearing th end of our adventure...
