Το Video Art Μηδέν συνεργάζεται με το Εργαστήριο Πολιτισμού και Ψηφιακών Μέσων (ΕΠΨΜ) του Τμήματος Πολιτισμού και Δημιουργικών Μέσων και Βιομηχανιών (ΤΠΔΜΒ) του Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλίας, συμμετέχοντας με μια ενότητα προβολών στο πολιτιστικό δρώμενο “Προβολές στην πόλη” που θα λάβει χώρα σε ανοικτούς χώρους στο Βόλο, 23-25 Απριλίου 2026.
Το πολιτιστικό δρώμενο “Προβολές στην πόλη” είναι μια τριήμερη διοργάνωση που ενεργοποιεί επιλεγμένα σημεία του Βόλου με προβολές εικόνας και ήχου, διευρύνοντας την εκπαιδευτική διαδικασία μέσω της μεταφοράς έργων, ιδεών και ερευνητικών προβληματισμών στον δημόσιο χώρο και ενισχύοντας τη συνάντηση ανάμεσα στην καλλιτεχνική πράξη, την πανεπιστημιακή κοινότητα και την πόλη. Η φετινή θεματική, “Μεταμόρφωση“, εστιάζει στις πολλαπλές μορφές αλλαγής και μετασχηματισμού, στις μετατοπίσεις της ταυτότητας, στις κοινωνικές, πολιτισμικές και περιβαλλοντικές μεταβολές, στις τεχνολογικές μεταβάσεις, στις προσωπικές και συλλογικές διεργασίες επανεφεύρεσης.
Οι προβολές θα λάβουν χώρα την Πέμπτη 23 – Παρασκευή 24 – Σάββατο 25 Απριλίου 2026, 20:30–22:30.
Η εκδήλωση είναι ανοιχτή στο κοινό.
Η ενότητα που θα παρουσιάσει το Video Art Μηδέν:

Πώς μεταμορφώνεται η ανθρώπινη εμπειρία, η μνήμη και το βίωμα μέσα από τα σύγχρονα ψηφιακά εργαλεία και τις άπειρες διακλαδώσεις στις εικονικές λεωφόρους τους; Υπάρχει «πραγματική» και «εικονική» πραγματικότητα ή πρόκειται απλώς για διαφορετικές όψεις του ίδιου συμπαντικού συνεχούς, ενός φαντασιακού χώρου που οι αδιόρατες συνδέσεις του διαμορφώνουν τις ροές της ατομικής και συλλογικής μνήμης, της φαντασίας και της αντίληψης;
Τα έργα που παρουσιάζονται στην ενότητα αξιοποιούν αλγοριθμικά εργαλεία ψηφιακής επέμβασης στην εικόνα και τεχνητή νοημοσύνη, παραμορφώνοντας και μεταμορφώνοντας την πραγματικότητα, κάνοντας βουτιά σε ένα ψηφιακό συλλογικό ασυνείδητο, σε μια αέναη αναζήτηση μιας πρωταρχικής αλήθειας της ύπαρξης.

Video Art Miden collaborates with the Culture and Digital Media Laboratory (CDM Lab) of the Department of Culture + Creative Media and Industries of the University of Thessaly, presenting a video art showcase in the frame of the cultural event “Projections in the city“, which will take place in open spaces of the city of Volos, Greece, 23-25 of April, 2026.
The cultural event “Projections in the City” is a three-day program that activates selected locations in Volos through image and sound projections, expanding the educational process by bringing works, ideas, and research inquiries into public space, and fostering interaction between artistic practice, the academic community, and the city. This year’s theme, “Metamorphosis”, focuses on the multiple forms of change and transformation: shifts in identity, social, cultural, and environmental changes, technological transitions, and the personal and collective processes of reinvention.
The screenings will take place Thursday 23 – Friday 24 – Saturday 25 of April 2026, 20:30–22:30.

How is human experience, memory and being transformed through contemporary digital tools and their infinite branching pathways across virtual highways? Is there an “actual” and a “virtual” reality, or are these simply different aspects of the same universal continuum—an imaginary space whose subtle connections shape the flows of individual and collective memory, imagination, and perception?
The works presented in this screening program make use of algorithmic tools and artificial intelligence for digital intervention on the image, distorting and transforming reality, diving into a kind of digital collective unconscious in an endless search for a primordial truth of existence.
