Hand drawn animation exploring that we are always in motion. Maybe you’re in your caterpillar phase. Perhaps now you’re a butterfly. Wherever you are, it will pass. Which can either bring deep comfort or pain. I suppose we are meant to hold both. I think that is what pure beauty is.

We are here to learn to work together. It sure does feel tangled sometimes. But of course, that’s the point. For when we move beyond the veil. Beyond the ourselves to recognize another – that is when truth appears.

Finding beauty feels essential. Noticing the patterns that connect us, big and small. Caring for details with curiosity, rather than assumption.

This perspective can be applied to both our world’s and our own human nature. It appears that’s where life’s treasures reveal themselves. In that unexpected commonality between you and another. The closer look with grace, rather than judgement.

My creative process is filled with order, pattern finding and hope. A recurring practice I tend to lean on when the world feels chaotic. Through creating, I am reminded of life’s grander beauty and our immense connection to one another.

The only constant is change. From each moment, to our world to our very own bodies.

We must learn to be dynamic. To evolve. To treasure each second and at the same time, not cling on too tightly.

Let moments not just be golden in hindsight. Find the gems in your reality now.

Are we meant to understand? Boy, do I crave answers. Then again, in order to see it all, you would need to change your position. Which involves trading your finite human form for the view from infinity.

Pink Floyd sings, “You reached for the secret too soon”. Gently reminding me that we are here to exist as humans— experiencing the whole spectrum of beauty and pain— until one day, we return again to the mystery we temporarily yearn to discover and feel close to.
