Υπάρχει χώρος;
Διεκδικούμε χώρο για τη κοινότητα. ‼️
Παρατηρούμε ότι οι προτεραιότητες της πολιτείας και των θεσμών δεν συγκλίνουν με τις πραγματικές ανάγκες της τοπικής κοινωνίας. 😕 Το Θριάσιο Πεδίο αντιμετωπίζεται διαχρονικά
ως ζώνη προς εκμετάλλευση, χωρίς ουσιαστική μέριμνα για τους ανθρώπους που ζουν εδώ.
Ανάμεσα σε διυλιστήρια, εγκαταστάσεις logistics, αποθήκες, μονάδες υψηλού κινδύνου και νέους σχεδιασμούς που μετατρέπουν την περιοχή σε υπερκόμβο βαριάς δραστηριότητας, η καθημερινή ζωή, η υγεία, το περιβάλλον και το μέλλον μας υποβαθμίζονται. 🏭🏗️
Αυτές οι πρακτικές συντηρούν ένα κλίμα απογοήτευσης, ανασφάλειας και στασιμότητας, επηρεάζοντας άμεσα τα νέα άτομα και ενισχύοντας τάσεις απομάκρυνσης και φυγής.
Κι όμως, εδώ ζούμε. Και διεκδικούμε χώρο. Χώρο για πολιτισμό, συνάντηση, συλλογική έκφραση και φροντίδα. Οι χώροι αυτοί δεν είναι πολυτέλεια, είναι βασική ανάγκη. Την ώρα που η περιοχή «αναπτύσσεται» μονοδιάστατα, δεκάδες κτίρια μέσα στις γειτονιές παραμένουν κλειστά και ανενεργά. 🚢
Διεκδικούμε την ενεργοποίησή τους προς όφελος της κοινότητας, ως χώρους συλλογικής ζωής, απαραίτητους για να μπορεί μια κοινωνία να αντέχει, να συνδέεται και να εξελίσσεται.

We observe that the priorities of the state and institutional bodies do not align with the genuine needs of the local society. The Thriasio Plain is persistently treated as a zone of exploitation, without meaningful concern for the people who inhabit it. Surrounded by refineries, logistics facilities, warehouses, high-risk industrial units, and new planning schemes that transform the area into a hyper-hub of heavy activity, everyday life, public health, the environment, and our collective future are being systematically degraded.
These practices perpetuate an atmosphere of disappointment, insecurity, and stagnation, directly affecting young people and reinforcing tendencies toward disengagement, displacement, and flight.
And yet, this is where we live. And we claim space. Space for culture, encounter, collective expression, and care. Such spaces are not a luxury; they are a fundamental necessity. At a time when the region is undergoing a one-dimensional form of “development,” dozens of buildings within our neighborhoods remain closed and inactive. We demand their activation for the benefit of the community, as spaces of collective life, indispensable for a society to endure, to connect, and to evolve.
