Αρχαιολογικός Χώρος Αρχαίας Κορίνθου | Archeological site of Ancient Korinthos

Μια συνάντηση που γεφυρώνει τέσσερις αιώνες.

Το ιδιαίτερο αυτό πρόγραμμα φέρνει κοντά τη μουσική του John Dowland και του Nick Drake, δύο από τις πιο ποιητικές φωνές της αγγλικής μουσικής, ενωμένες μέσα από τη διαχρονική μελαγχολία και τον μοναδικό λυρισμό τους.

Με ερμηνευτές τη Lotte Betts-Dean και τον Δημήτρη Σουκαρά, και αφηγητή τον Γιώργο Μπινιάρη, το Time Stands Still αποκαλύπτει τον απρόσμενο διάλογο ανάμεσα στα τραγούδια της Αναγέννησης και τα αριστουργήματα της αγγλικής folk του 20ού αιώνα, δείχνοντας πως η ομορφιά, η νοσταλγία και η σιωπή ξεπερνούν τα όρια του χρόνου.

Στο δεύτερο μέρος της συναυλίας, η Lotte και ο Δημήτρης θα μας χαρίσουν μια επιλογή έργων από το νέο τους άλμπουμ, Everything You’ve Ever Lived, προσκαλώντας το κοινό σε ένα βαθιά προσωπικό και συγκινητικό μουσικό ταξίδι.
Μια συναυλία όπου τέσσερις αιώνες συναντιούνται και ο χρόνος μοιάζει πραγματικά να σταματά.

An encounter across four centuries.

This special programme brings together the music of John Dowland and Nick Drake, two of England’s most poetic musical voices, united by their timeless melancholy and extraordinary lyricism.

Performed by brilliant mezzo-soprano Lotte Betts-Dean and the outstanding guitarist Dimitris Soukaras and actor Yorgos Biniaris as a narrator, Time Stands Still explores the surprising dialogue between Renaissance lute songs and twentieth-century folk masterpieces, revealing how beauty, longing and stillness transcend time.

In the second half of the evening, Lotte and Dimitris will present a selection of songs from their acclaimed new album, Everything You’ve Ever Lived, offering audiences an intimate journey through music that is both deeply personal and profoundly moving.

A concert where four centuries meet, and time truly stands still.

Το «Concerto of Korinthos» έρχεται στην Κόρινθο.

Ανάθεση του Δήμου Κορινθίων, και της Κρατικής Ορχήστρας Αθηνών, η ΚΟΑ έρχεται να παρουσιάσει το εμβληματικό νέο έργο του Leo Brouwer, αφιερωμένο στον Κορίνθιο κιθαριστή Δημήτρη Σουκαρά.

Τρία μέρη - Ι. Πειρήνη Κρήνη ΙΙ. Αρχαία Αγορά ΙΙΙ. Ναός του Απόλλωνα

Σολίστ ο Δημήτρης Σουκαράς, υπό τη μουσική διεύθυνση του Νίκου Χαλιάσα, σε μια μοναδική συναυλία όπου θα παρουσιαστεί επίσης η εμβληματική Συμφωνία αρ. 9 «Του Νέου Κόσμου» του Antonín Dvořák.

Commissioned by the Municipality of Corinth, and the Athens State Orchestra presents Leo Brouwer’s iconic new concerto, dedicated to Corinthian guitarist Dimitris Soukaras.

Featuring Dimitris Soukaras as soloist and conducted by the concert will also include Antonín Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9, «From the New World.»
