ΕΠΕΤΕΙΟΣ ²⁰⁰ ΤΗΣ ΗΡΩΙΚΗΣ ΕΞΟΔΟΥ ΤΟΥ ΜΕΣΟΛΟΓΓΙΟΥ

ΑΠΡΙΛΙΟΣ ¹⁸²⁶ – ΑΠΡΙΛΙΟΣ ²⁰²⁶

ΣΗΜΕΡΑ. Μεγάλη Παρασκευή, παράλληλα με την κορύφωση του Θείου Πάθους, τιμούμε με βαθιά συγκίνηση τη Διακοσιοστή Επέτειο από τη νύχτα ¹⁰ Απριλίου ¹⁸²⁶ όταν οι κάτοικοι της Ιερής Πόλεως του Μεσολογγίου (οι εμβληματικοί Ελεύθεροι Πολιορκημένοι) προέκριναν την ελευθερία έναντι της υποταγής· στρέφουμε το βλέμμα μας εσωτερικά, επιχειρώντας να συλλάβουμε την πνευματική πεμπτουσία αυτής της υπέρτατης θυσίας.

✦ Οι στίχοι του Εθνικού μας Ποιητή, Διονυσίου Σολωμού, από το αριστούργημά του Οι Ελεύθεροι Πολιορκημένοι —“Πάντ’ ανοιχτά, πάντ’ άγρυπνα, τα μάτια της ψυχής μου .“— υπερβαίνουν τα ιστορικά γεγονότα, αναδεικνύοντας την πνευματική νίκη που αναδιαμόρφωσε την ελληνική 🇬🇷 ψυχή.

✦ Στην γκαλερί μας, αποτίουμε φόρο τιμής σε αυτήν τη μοναδική πράξη συλλογικού σθένους με ένα εμβληματικό έργο της συλλογής μας, φιλοτεχνημένο από τον Κωνσταντίνο Καμπουρόπουλο, υπό τον τίτλο Ευαγγελισμός (2007-2016), από την ιστορική του σειρά Ο Αγώνας της Ελλάδας.

✦ Στον συγκεκριμένο πίνακα, σε μια αισθητική σύμπνοια με το Σολωμικό Ιδεώδες, ο καλλιτέχνης υπερβαίνει το γήινο βάρος της μάχης, μετουσιώνοντας τους ήρωες της Εξόδου σε αναδυόμενα πνεύματα, τιμώντας διαισθητικά τη συλλογική μνήμη και την πνευματική Θυσία του Μεσολογγίου…εκεί όπου η αληθινή ελευθερία ανευρίσκεται αιώνια. 🕊️

'Γι’ αυτούς, η οδός δεν ήταν προς τα κάτω, αλλά προς τα πάνω… δεν ήταν το τέλος, αλλά μια αιώνια απαρχή .' 🖌️

On this Great Friday in Hellas, as we observe the culmination of the Divine Passion, we also commemorate the solemn Bicentennial of the night of ¹⁰ ᴀᴘʀɪʟ ¹⁸²⁶ when the people of the Holy City of 𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐡𝐢 (known as The Free Besieged) chose freedom over submission… and we turn our gaze inward to capture the soul of that ultimate sacrifice.

✦ The words of our National Hellene Poet, 𝐃𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐬 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐬, in his masterpiece 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐝—“𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘯, 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘷𝘪𝘨𝘪𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘵, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘺𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘺 𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘭.”—look beyond historical facts to the spiritual victory that reshaped the Hellenic 🇬🇷 soul.

✦In the history of 𝐕𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐞, 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 was never merely an absence of color, but a heightening of presence. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐚 (The Mute Maid)—perhaps the most enigmatic of all 𝐕𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐬—was crafted from black velvet. Designed without a mouth hole, it was held in place by a button gripped between the teeth, demanding a vow of silence that transformed the wearer into a figure of pure, feminine mystery.
