Last two weeks to visit
PAUSE, FRAGMENT, FOLD

An exhibition emerging from a collaborative process between students of The American College of Greece, the University of Ioannina, and the University of Southampton.

Curated by Giorgos Kontis (.kontis) and coordinated with Jennifer Nelson, the project stems from workshops exploring authorship, collective work, and dialogic artistic practice while also engaging with the ACG Art Collection. “Pause, Fragment, Fold” highlights the fragment as a way to rethink form, narrative, and how meaning takes shape.

🗓 On view until 31 January 2026
🕒 Wed & Fri 15:00–19:00 | Sat 12:00–16:00
📍 ACG Plaka Building, 17B Ipitou St, Athens
🎟 Free admission

✨ Starting the academic year with a piece rich in history and resilience:

DIEGO RIVERA
Seated Portrait #2 of Frances Rich in her Studio (1941)

A rare fresco on cement, painted in Santa Barbara. It was damaged by an earthquake before it was even installed, then repaired by Frances Rich herself.

Stay tuned for our upcoming projects and events 📣

💬 “Remembrance intervenes, modifies, and redeems… turning what appears complete into the resoundingly incomplete.”
150 years since the college’s founding, artists reflect on its past—not in linear terms, but as layered constellations of memory and meaning. This exhibition invites disruption, collaboration & critical reflection on the role of art education in times of uncertainty.

Curated by Christos Asomatos, Ana S. González Rueda & Ioanna Papapavlou
