KORI

KORI Since 1967 | Athens
Jewelry, Art & Design by Greek & International Creators. KORI is situated in a beautiful old neoclassical building in the heart of Athens.

Originally established back in 1967, KORI was taken over by Efterpi Lymperopoulou and Giorgos Koutsis who did a fresh restart of the old family business in 1998. Their continuing effort since, consists of displaying collections of distinguished Greek artists. Contemporary ceramic art items, limited edition bronzes or top of the line jewelry, blend remarkably well in the gallery.

Form travels. A reminder that beauty often lives in the details we instinctively recognize before we fully understand why.

“Daughter of the Seas” showcases Maria Apostolopoulou’s mastery of glyptography, the rare, centuries-old art of carving gemstones entirely by hand. Engraved quartz and aquamarines come together in a contemporary expression of this intricate craft. Almost dreamlike, the necklace carries the calm, depth and timeless beauty of the sea close to the body.

Named after Tantalus, a figure from Greek mythology associated with power, endurance and eternity, tantalum carries a sense of rarity and permanence within its very name.

Today, it is considered one of the rarest and most durable metals in existence — valued for its exceptional resistance, deep tone and enduring character.
Crafted into wedding rings, tantalum becomes more than a material.
It becomes a symbol of resilience, stability and a connection designed to withstand time itself.

For Constantinos Valaes, sculpture becomes a way of translating memory, nature and Greek heritage into material form. Working primarily with bronze, the artist creates olive trees shaped by movement, texture and imbalance, forms that feel almost windswept, as if shaped slowly by time and nature itself.

Influenced by painting, hagiography, silverwork and traditional metal sculpting, his work balances strength with fragility, transforming the olive tree into a symbol of permanence, resilience and emotional continuity.
Each sculpture carries a deeply Mediterranean identity, rooted in craftsmanship, atmosphere and the quiet poetry of the Greek landscape.

Objects that do not simply exist within a space, but subtly shape the way the space itself is experienced.

“Couple in Love” by Bessi Boumi expresses intimacy and connection through abstract ceramic stoneware forms shaped with softness, balance and emotion.
“Under the Words” by Vyron Dimitrakoulis combines bronze, copper and marble in a symbolic composition portraying two figures standing beneath a web of words — leaving space for personal interpretation and emotional connection.
“Sublime Stoneware Ceramic Boat Form” by Savina is a handcrafted ceramic stoneware piece inspired by sculptural minimalism, designed both as an artistic object and a t-lite candleholder, bringing warmth and atmosphere into a shared space.
“A Couple in the Evening Sky” by Stelios Chatzimichalis captures the quiet poetry of togetherness through atmosphere, symbolism and emotional stillness.

Objects chosen not only for their beauty, but for the feeling, symbolism and memories they continue carrying through time.
