7 years ago, I wrote Rusalka.
Rusałka: Poznań stories by Krysia
Humidity lashed my skin, bristling, the current of the lake caressed my limbs. I had my bare arms despite the neoprene suit. The dark water seemed to have swallowed my legs, which among the grown algae tickled me, like snakes coiling around me.
From that place, old legends were told, beautiful macabre mermaids emerged from the abyss that after seducing young men they made drowned them with a kiss. I heard a crack in the reeds and looked back, however, I saw only a curious little fish that escaped due to my movements.
Those days your presence was tormenting me. The fire in my chest burned in the embers of your selfishness. I want to forget you and at the same time it is so difficult, my illusion is turning into a cheap tequila, a bad swallow of an unexpected meeting.
Then a while later he appeared from the bottom and grabbed my hair to pull me to the darkness.
As I submerged celestial songs were accompanied, swallowed more and more water, until I grabbed the monster's head and stuck my nails into his eyes.
He screamed and frozen tears came out among the ice. I shouted, we kicked in the same whirlpool again and again.
I raised my arm and touched my bare hand sticked to the icy breeze of winter.
"Disappear! I order you!" -
The current was tamed.
Climbing the wooden platform, coughing and throwing that poison out of my mouth. He had kissed me, yes. And I still wanted to live. I squeezed the cross of my chest and there I found my antidote.
However, over time I came to the conclusion that that monster, he ... It was truly a part inside me ... That full of terror, had wanted to possess me.
