I had some conversations about this recently that got me thinking...

In my experience, we have multiple "worlds" within us. We can choose to get to know one of them in depth, but we can also unlock new ones as we go.
🗝️ We unlock them by going through intense experiences ❤️‍🔥, by trying out and falling in love with different mediums🖍️, by observing other artists 👀, or just by growing as people. 🌱

As a consequence, a unique art style isn't something you look for. It is simply the common themes that emerge as you explore without limiting yourself.

🧭 It is unique because it's your hand behind the brush, not because you consciously decided, "This is my style." Your hand already knows how to be unique, don't get in its way by thinking you know better.✨🙃

🍂 I'm starting the workshops again in September, with the first one taking place on 9/9 in the beautiful Byzantine Garden in Athens.

We'll focus on Van Gogh's techniques in sketching, experimenting with ink and all the different results it can give us. This technique is simple, ideal for beginners who are hesitant when it comes to on-location sketching and are looking to loosen up their hand.

Yesterday I took the wrong bus and I was so distracted that I only realised when I was at Victoria station, nowhere near where I wanted to go 😆
And I thought to my self, I can either feel annoyed and take another bus home right away, or I can just look around and pretend I chose to come here for a while.
I ended sketching at the archeological museum, and then walking the way home.
Turns out all the work "I had to do right away and didn't do" didn't cause the end of the world.
