Pomegranates🍅 for a lucky next year explain the details

Breaking a pomegranate behind the front door brings good luck and prosperity for the new year according to the Greek tradition.

Following the morning liturgy of the 1rst of January, the person who makes the first step of the year into the house (always with his/her right foot) should ring the bell (never unlock by key or open him/herself) and break a pomegranate behind the door, while saying a wish.

Caryatids Ancient Greek Dance Company...

Next Friday we are invited to make a guest performance at the festival, organized by «Center for Support and Development of Cultural Heritage "trembita"», where children from all over the world will sing and dance for peace.

La magistral frase de "jroña que jroña" (en griego se escribe así: χρόνια και χρόνια) no se trata de un insulto ni de una expresión de enfado o de rabia, la abuelita del anuncio del yogur sólo hablaba de los "años y años", esto es, de los muchísimos años de la existencia del yogur en Grecia.
