Movement Research Project Performing Arts A few words about the initiative. The Movement Research Project has been conducted annually since 2015 in Thessaloniki, Athens, and regionally.

The Movement Research Project is an interdisciplinary platform for research and action that explores contemporary practices and mediums framing the field of performing arts in Greece
and abroad. It is a multicultural educational initiative that, through its activities, incubates contemporary models of dialogue, artistic synergy and production, focusing on the points where performative creation int

ersects with contemporary art and science. The activities include cycles of workshops, residencies, seminars, and artistic actions with distinguished artists from Greece and abroad. It explores fundamental concepts such as convergence, boundaries, inclusion, coherence, compaction, and fermentation—concepts that impact the evolving footprint left by each performative synergy on the "Topology" of performing arts. The goal of this initiative is the
emergence, investigation, and extensive study that holistically focuses on the "genetics" of the field of performing arts and its intersection with contemporary art and science. The thematic cycles derive from the research and extensive study of the curators, responding to the needs of the artistic community and maintaining an open dialogue with curators of contemporary art from Europe, America, and Asia. Specifically, within the framework of the platform and with the kind support of the Ministry of Culture for 2022, 2023, & 2024 as well as relevant local bodies, 57 symbiotic workshops have been conducted so far in significant cultural venues of our country.
