🐠This last little while (maybe the last two years or so) I've had a wee thing for fish. It came up quite spontaneously and it became an interesting thread to follow both in analogue and digital works, in illustration and collage.

🐟I was quite delighted and surprised to find that fish are associated in depth psychology with individuation, but also with the feminine experience and the feminine journey.

🐋I found it quite magical and significant, considering the Heroine's Journey is markedly different from the Hero's Journey that this interest sort of found me, as I was in an active process and journey of my own, in my own search for a 'finding place'.

It's something I like to play with, revisit between other kinds of work and develop. 💙

Direction of travel vs persistence of memory

🪨 Clay is not at all what I would call my medium. At least not in the way that I could say I've dedicated thought, research and storying to.

✨️ But in my off-time or at turning points it's always felt like a great material to resort to for it's tactile pleasure. It makes its own decisions which get me out of my head and my heavier themes.

🧭 Whilst I'm between bodies of work, directions and projects, in this transitional summer space that is kind of residual and makeshift, I'd love to hear what people are doing on the side, in the margins or behind the scenes, for fun and novelty and for the heck of it!

🦋 Round 2 of workshops (or rather walkshops😋)!

🐌 Let's go for a walk, but maybe not as our usual (human) selves. As participants, you will receive a special assignment. You won't pretend to be just 'any' animal. You will undergo a strange metamorphosis and tell a new story about public and urban nature spaces.

Dear friends!

🦋During this lovely month of May, between the 14th and the 28th, I will be spending some time in Barcelona and offering creative workshops on place and the different levels and ways we can relate to it.

🌻These will be both indoors and outdoors, and we'll have lots of fun creating and exploring, as well as conversing in new ways with our surroundings, our narratives, and our ideas about where we live and belong.
