A 2-day Silks Workshop with Claudio Vitale.

Two years later, Claudio returns to share his journey and everything that has evolved since his last visit.

Day 1

On the first day, we will focus on the technical aspects of aerial silks.

We will begin with body awareness exercises, essential to build solid technical foundations.

We will then work on transitions in two directions: on one side by reusing and enhancing the material that belongs to each participant’s personal background; on the other by learning new sequences and movements that will be progressively integrated into each individual repertoire. The practice of transitions will include exercises designed to stimulate creativity and personal expression.

The program is structured in a progressive and propedeutic way, so that each participant can take home concrete tools and useful content.

Day 2

The second day is dedicated to movement, musicality, and the quality of gesture, both on the ground and in the air, including exercises on the connection between ground and air through the way the body connects and climbs onto the apparatus.

Through a series of practices, we will work on the interaction between sound, voice, rhythm, and vibration, understanding how these elements continuously influence movement.

We will explore the relationship between time and space through the body, using guidelines and tools that allow different directions of work.

The main focus is the connection between body and music, allowing participants to express their uniqueness and creativity through the apparatus.

In addition, we will explore different spinning techniques, using them as an integral part of movement and observing how the body transforms in relation to rhythm and dynamics. Spins and movement are approached as a single, evolving system.
