👉Το εργαστήριο είναι δομημένο ως μια προοδευτική διαδρομή από την εκπαίδευση του ηθοποιού προς τη συλλογική δημιουργία. Μέσα από σωματικές και φωνητικές πρακτικές, οι συμμετέχοντες διερευνούν την τέχνη της υποκριτικής, αφήνοντας το σώμα να μεταμορφωθεί σε βασικό εργαλείο δημιουργικής έκφρασης.
Η δουλειά θα περιλαμβάνει:
👉Ασκήσεις αναπνοής – ανακαλύπτοντας την αναπνοή ως πηγή ενέργειας και παρόρμησης του σώματος και πώς αυτή μπορεί να μετασχηματιστεί σε φωνή και λόγο
👉Αφύπνιση του σώματος – μέσα από ατομικές και ομαδικές ασκήσεις, εμπνευσμένες από τις πολεμικές τέχνες και το contact improvisation. Διερεύνηση της δημιουργικής ελευθερίας μέσω της κίνησης και του τρόπου με τον οποίο τα σώματα επικοινωνούν επί σκηνής μέσω δράσεων
👉Δουλειά χορού / συνόλου (chorus work) – η ομάδα ως ενιαίο σώμα που κινείται μαζί και μοιράζεται παρορμήσεις
👉Πολυφωνία σωμάτων και φωνών – δουλειά πάνω σε παραδοσιακά τραγούδια και ρυθμικές δομές που μπορούν να γίνουν το τοπίο πάνω στο οποίο αφηγούμαστε ιστορίες και αυτοσχεδιάζουμε
👉Δουλειά με κείμενο – αποσπάσματα κειμένων προσεγγίζονται μέσα από σωματικές δράσεις, το ρυθμό και τη μουσικότητα, επιτρέποντας στην κλασική και τη σύγχρονη γλώσσα να συνυπάρχουν στο ίδιο σώμα.
👉Συλλογική δημιουργία (devised work) – οι συμμετέχοντες αναπτύσσουν σύντομες études / σκηνές, βασισμένες στο υλικό που προκύπτει από το training και την εξερεύνηση του κειμένου.
Το εργαστήριο βασίζεται σε συγκεκριμένες πρακτικές που αντλούνται από την πολυετή εργασία της Marie Walker στο Ινστιτούτο Grotowski και την εκτενή εμπειρία της στις πολεμικές τέχνες, καθώς και από την εκπαίδευση της Αλίκης Στενού στη RADA (Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, Λονδίνο), με έμφαση στις μετα-Γκροτοφσκικές μεθοδολογίες, και την εμπειρία της ως σκηνοθέτιδας στην Αθήνα και στο εξωτερικό.
Σημείωση: Το σεμινάριο θα διεξαχθεί στα Ελληνικά και στα Αγγλικά και είναι ανοιχτό σε όλα τα επίπεδα εμπειρίας.

🌼 Η Marie Walker είναι Πολωνο-Bρετανίδα ηθοποιός και θεατρική δημιουργός, απόφοιτη του Rose Bruford College στο Λονδίνο. Από το 2019 έως το 2025 εργάστηκε στο Ινστιτούτο Grotowski στην Πολωνία, ως βασικό μέλος του Studio Kokyu, όπου ανέπτυξε μακροχρόνια έρευνα στη σωματική εκπαίδευση του ηθοποιού, τη φωνή και το πολυφωνικό τραγούδι, στο πλαίσιο της παράδοσης του εργαστηριακού θεάτρου του Grotowski. Έχει συνεργαστεί εκτενώς με το Ινστιτούτο Grotowski στις παραστάσεις I Come to You River: Ophelia Fractured, Action Medea κ.α., καθώς και με το Teatr ZAR στις παραστάσεις Back to Beckett – Rockaby και Medee/Moiry, The Maids: Materials, σε σκηνοθεσία Jarosław Fret. Διαθέτει πολυετή εμπειρία στη διδασκαλία και στην καθοδήγηση θεατρικών σεμιναρίων, τόσο στο Ινστιτούτο Grotowski όσο και διεθνώς, μεταξύ άλλων στην Ακαδημία Μουσικής και Θεάτρου της Εσθονίας, στο BAU Conservatory στην Κωνσταντινούπολη και στην NAFA Academy of Fine Arts στη Σιγκαπούρη, καθώς και στο πλαίσιο καλλιτεχνικών φιλοξενιών που υποστηρίχθηκαν από το Goethe-Institut στην Ισπανία. Το παιδαγωγικό της έργο επικεντρώνεται στην ενσώματη παρουσία, την πρακτική του συνόλου (ensemble) και το άνοιγμα του σώματος και της αναπνοής μέσα από πρακτικές που βασίζονται στις πολεμικές τέχνες, ενσωματώνοντας τη φωνή, την κίνηση και το τελετουργικό στοιχείο στην περφόρμανς. Κατέχει μαύρη ζώνη στο Aikido και συνεχίζει να προπονείται στην Αθήνα με τη Shihan Toko Jenny Flower Sensei. Αποτελεί συνεργάτη της Αλίκη Στενού (Μνήμη/Λήθη - Δημοτικό Θέατρο Πειραιά, Body and Voice Research - Can Bonamic Creation Centre).
🌸 Η Αλίκη Στενού, γεννημένη στην Αθήνα, είναι σκηνοθέτις, ηθοποιός και θεατρική δημιουργός. Είναι αριστούχος απόφοιτη της Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) του Λονδίνου και της Αρχιτεκτονικής Σχολής του Εθνικού Μετσόβιου Πολυτεχνείου, με επιπλέον σπουδές στην υποκριτική και την αρχιτεκτονική σε Αθήνα, Μόναχο και Βερολίνο. Έχει σκηνοθετήσει παραστάσεις στην Ελλάδα και στο εξωτερικό, μεταξύ άλλων τα έργα Μνήμη / Λήθη (2025-26, Δημοτικό Θέατρο Πειραιά), Πεθαίνω σαν Χώρα (2022–23, Bios κεντρική σκηνή, ΠΛΥΦΑ και Metropolitan Urban Theatre Θεσσαλονίκης), Vita Nova (2023, Ξενοδοχείο Μπάγκειον) και συν-δημιουργήσει στο Λονδίνο τις παραστάσεις Alice in Flatland, Voice[i]s, The Suppliants κ.α. Το 2025 επιλέχθηκε ως σκηνοθέτις σε καλλιτεχνική φιλοξενία από το Piccolo Teatro di Milano, όπου εργάστηκε με την υποστήριξη του Εθνικού Θεάτρου της Ελλάδας, ενώ το 2024 επιλέχθηκε επίσης σε καλλιτεχνική φιλοξενία από το Centro Teatrale MaMiMo (Reggio Emilia, Ιταλία) και το Can Bonamic Creation Centre (Βαρκελώνη, Ισπανία) με την υποστήριξη της Δημιουργικής Ευρώπης και του Goethe Institut. Στο θέατρο έχει συνεργαστεί με τους: Μιχαήλ Μαρμαρινό, Αργυρώ Χιώτη, David Glass, Βασίλη Μαυρογεωργίου κ.α. Αποτελεί ιδρυτικό μέλος της θεατρικής ομάδας Bunkum με έδρα το Λονδίνο και της Non Linear A.M.K.E. με έδρα την Αθήνα. Έχοντας λάβει εκτενή εκπαίδευση στην υποκριτική, τον χορό και το τραγούδι, και με εργασιακή εμπειρία στην Ελλάδα, τη Γερμανία, το Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο και την Ιταλία, ενσωματώνει μια πολυεπίπεδη οπτική στη θεατρική της πρακτική.

👉This workshop is structured as a progressive journey from actor’s training to collective creation. Through physical, vocal, and ensemble practices, participants investigate the actor’s craft while awakening responsiveness, presence, and embodied awareness. Emphasis is placed on listening to inner impulses, allowing movement and sound to emerge organically, and exploring the psychophysical possibilities of an open, responsive body as the primary tool of creative expression.
The work will include:
👉Breath Exercises - discovering breath as the source of energy and impulse in the body. How we can transform this into vocalisation and text
👉Awakened body - through individual and partner exercises derived from martial arts and contact improvisation. Exploring freedom of creative expression within movement and how the bodies may communicate with each other in action.
👉Chorus work - discovering the group as one body, moving and sharing a common impulse and life.
👉Polyphony of bodies and voices - Creation of collective sound and work on traditional songs and rhythmical structures that can become a landscape on which to tell stories and improvise.
👉Text Work - fragments of text are approached through physical action, vocal resonance, rhythm, and musicality, allowing classical and contemporary language to coexist and collide within the same body.
👉Devising and creation - Participants develop short études, scenes, and compositional structures derived from the material generated during training and text exploration.
The workshop will be built from specific practices drawn from Marie Walker’s many years of work at the Grotowski Institute and her extensive experience in martial arts, alongside Aliki Stenou’s physical and acting training at RADA (Royal Academy of Dramatic Art), grounded in post-Grotowski methodologies, and her experience as a director in Athens and internationally.
Note: The seminar will be conducted in both Greek and English and is open to all levels of experience.

🌼 Marie Walker is a Polish–British actress and theatre practitioner, a graduate of Rose Bruford College London. From 2019–2025, she worked at the Grotowski Institute in Poland, as a core member of Studio Kokyu where she developed long-term research in embodied actor training, voice, physical action, and polyphonic song within the tradition of Grotowski’s laboratory theater. She has performed extensively with the Grotowski Institute in I Come to You River: Ophelia Fractured and Action Medea, and with Teatr ZAR on Back to Beckett – Rockaby and Medee/Moiry, The Maids: Materials , directed by Jarosław Fret. She has also extensive experience leading workshops in performance training at the Grotowski Institute and internationally, including the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, BAU Conservatory Istanbul, and NAFA Academy of Fine Arts (Singapore), as well as through Goethe-Institut–supported residencies in Spain. Her pedagogical work focuses on embodied presence, ensemble practice, and opening the body and breath through practices rooted in martial arts, integrating voice, movement, and ritual into performance. Marie holds a black belt in Aikido and trains in Athens with Shihan Toko Jenny Flower Sensei. She recently worked with Aliki Stenou in the performance Mnimi/Lithi at Dimotiko Teatro Piraeus.
🌸 Aliki Stenou, born in Athens, is a director, actress, and theater maker. She is a first-class graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London and of the School of Architecture at the National Technical University of Athens , with additional studies in acting and architecture in Athens, Munich, and Berlin. She has directed productions in Greece and internationally, including Memory / Oblivion (2025–26, Municipal Theater of Piraeus), Dying as a Country (2022–23, Bios Main Stage, PLYFA, and Metropolitan Urban Theater of Thessaloniki), and Vita Nova (2023, Bagkeion Hotel). In London, she has co-created works such as Alice in Flatland , Voice[i]s , and The Suppliants , among others. In 2025, she was selected for an artistic residency as a director at Piccolo Teatro di Milano, where she worked with the support of the National Theater of Greece. In 2024, she was also selected for artistic residencies at Centro Teatrale MaMiMo (Reggio Emilia, Italy) and the Can Bonamic Creation Center (Barcelona, Spain), with the support of Creative Europe and the Goethe-Institut . In theater, she has collaborated with Michail Marmarinos, Argyro Chioti, David Glass, and Vasilis Mavrogeorgiou , among others. She is a founding member of the London-based theater company Bunkum and of Non Linear AMKE , based in Athens. Having received extensive training in acting, dancing, and singing, and with professional experience in Greece, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Italy, she brings a multi-layered perspective to her theatrical practice.
