Made in Syros and carried across the Cyclades.

Glassmaking formed part of the remarkable industrial history of Ermoupolis. From the late nineteenth century onwards, the island’s glassworks produced bottles, drinking glasses and everyday objects made to be used again and again.

A small collection of genuine antique Syros glass carafes, each carrying the marks and irregularities of its previous life, is now available at the A Journey to Ios museum shop.
