“Gelin tanış olalım, işi kolay kılalım, sevelim sevilelim, dünya kimseye kalmaz.”
Yunus Emre’nin asırlar öncesinden insanlığa yaptığı bu çağrı, “Gelin, Tanış Olalım: Uluslararası Şiir Akşamı” programımızda farklı dillerde yankı buldu.
Barışın, dostluğun ve ortak insanlık değerlerinin şiirlerle buluştuğu bu özel gecede; kendi dillerinde şiirler seslendiren Avrupa Birliği, Çin, Gine-Bissau, Hindistan ve Fas diplomatik misyon temsilcilerine, Gambiya Yazarlar Birliği üyelerine ve Yunus Emre'nin ilahilerini seslendiren Gambiya'nın önemli sanatçılarından Mariama Cham'a teşekkür ederiz.
Başta T.C. Banjul Büyükelçimiz Sayın Fahri Türker Oba olmak üzere; Gambiya Birleşmiş Milletler Daimi Temsilcisine, Küba ve Lübnan misyon temsilcilerine, kıymetli akademisyenlerimize, öğrencilerimize ve şiirin birleştirdiği bu anlamlı akşamda bizleri yalnız bırakmayan tüm misafirlerimize şükranlarımızı sunarız.

This centuries-old call of Yunus Emre to humanity resonated in different languages during our “Come, Let Us Get Acquainted: International Poetry Evening” program.
We would like to thank the diplomatic mission representatives of the European Union, China, Guinea-Bissau, India, and Morocco, as well as the members of the Writers’ Association of The Gambia, who recited poems in their own languages during this special evening where peace, friendship, and shared human values met through poetry. We also extend our thanks to Mariama Cham, one of The Gambia’s prominent artists, for performing Yunus Emre’s hymns.
We express our deepest gratitude to all our guests, especially H.E. Fahri Türker Oba, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Banjul; the UN Permanent Representative to The Gambia; the mission representatives of Cuba and Lebanon; and our esteemed academics and students for being with us on this meaningful evening united by poetry.
