PAYMENT OF NCM 2024/25 PRIZE MONIES 🎶🏆

The National Sports Council (NSC) has once again delivered on its promise by officially paying out the prize monies to the three champions of the National Competitive Musical (NCM) Festival 2024/25 edition – Pa Hally Secka, Arubi, and Super Star – on Wednesday, 3rd September 2025.

The colorful handing-over ceremony took place at the NSC Office, Independence Stadium, and was presided over by the Ag. Executive Director, Mr. Jawla, in the presence of Madam Beatrice Prom-Mbodge, Mr. Ebrima Manneh, Mr. Sar Camara, alongside other NSC officials and, of course, the proud winners themselves.

This moment not only marks the fulfillment of NSC’s commitment but also celebrates the incredible talents who continue to raise the flag of Gambian music high.

NCM SEASON 1 CLOSURE

First, a heartfelt thank you to my partners, NSC, for believing in the NCM and coming on board. A special appreciation also goes to Hon. Minister Bakary Y. Badjie for supporting this monumental, development-oriented initiative.

To our esteemed judges - Mr. Latirr Carr, Mr. Wagan Faye, and Sambou Suso - your expertise and dedication have been instrumental in the success of NCM.

A big thank you to the Regional Governor of NBR for his invaluable support and coordination. I urge other regional governors to follow suit. Kudos to all regional promoters for their incredible efforts!

To the Joluv Arts Band, your dedication to honing and developing the raw talents of these artists is truly commendable. Despite the challenges of working with emerging talents, you remained committed, and for that, we are deeply grateful.

To all participants across different regions - thank you. A special shoutout to our finalists; each of you is a winner in your own right. Joluv Arts will continue to support you, whether through projects or career consultancy.

Congratulations to Arubii Ndow and Superstar. And to Pahali Secka, a massive congratulations on your well-deserved victory. You are now the Brand Ambassador of NCM and Joluv Arts, and I look forward to working with you in shaping your career as a role model for future NCM artists.

NATIONAL COMPETITIVE MUSIC (NCM) FESTIVAL: A NIGHT TO REMEMBER

The National Competitive Music (NCM) Festival auditions came to a spectacular close this past Friday with an iconic double audition featuring KM2 and KM3. Hosted at the vibrant Mina's Nest in Manjai, the evening was nothing short of magical, with music and talent taking centre stage.

As the curtains drew on this final audition, the audience was treated to a show-stopping performance by the Julov Arts Band, whose super-classic delivery left everyone in awe. Their electrifying performance set the tone for a night filled with passion and artistry.

The event was graced by some of the biggest names in the music industry, including Pa Malick of Mam Jarra Production, the energetic Nyacho, and the charismatic Apachaky. A loyal crowd of fans added to the buzz, cheering on their favourite acts and creating an electric atmosphere that resonated throughout the event.

With the auditions now concluded, the festival has gathered a total of 17 exceptional contestants who will battle it out in the highly anticipated finals on 18th February 2025 . The stage is set, the stakes are high, and the excitement is palpable as we edge closer to discovering and presenting the next big stars in Gambian music.
