In our family compound in Gurugu, I'm pictured with my three sisters, Hajia's Kande, Muni, and Sharifa, along with Gundogu Suhudoo Naa, also known as Napag'a Jessica. This photo serves as a testament to the power of loyalty and commitment. Behind us, you can see Yani Malizali Gundaa Naa's house standing tall.

I pay my utmost respects to a truly iconic figure, not only in Ghanaian military history but also as a devoted soldier, a chief among chiefs, and a father to us all. My heartfelt tribute goes to my father, my uncle, our revered Chief Major Rtd Abubakari Sulemana. Tomorrow, our new Regent will be outdoors, and the entire Dagbon will unite once more! May Allah's blessings be upon you and the Regent of my home town Tolon. Aameen πŸ™πŸΎ

As I begin my day watching the sunrise in the Pacific Northwest with my loved ones and community here in the USA πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ, I feel grateful for this opportunity. As a Professor and Chief, I strive to embody the values of dignity, respect, compassion, and love in all aspects of my life, whether as an individual, community member, or family member. My goal is to make a positive impact, especially on my young intellectually curious students, as we start this new academic year. Mpagya mba NawuniπŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎ

I had the privilege of meeting sister Diana Hopeson, a renowned Ghanaian gospel musician, alongside the Dean of the School of Performing Arts, Prof. Kuwor, and Dr. Kofi Antonio. We discussed the memorial service for my late Father, Prof. Oh Nii Kwei Sowah, at the University of Ghana. Insha Allah, I will be sending 28 Dagbon musicians and dancers to this important event next Thursday.

I'm beaming with pride as I watch our young people wholeheartedly preserve our traditions. The memory of taking the performing groups to the Gbewaa Palace, beautifully captured by Nabia, will stay with me forever! β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈπŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎ

Unity and love transcend borders, as evident in the harmonious coexistence of the kings of Dagbon with various ethnic groups, including the powerful Hausa people. Our traditions are deeply intertwined, making it challenging to distinguish what belongs to each group. At the climax of the Damba festival yesterday, I had the opportunity to pay homage to the king of the Hausa people, Alhaj Rashid, who happens to be a close childhood friend and Senior High School mate. Meanwhile, the Mossi king, my young friend, was eager to claim my chief's title πŸ˜€. Love ultimately prevails πŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎ.
