GN Bank’s license was revoked in August 2019, a decision that reportedly affected many loyal customers who had saved millions of cedis with the bank.
According to reports, several customers suffered severe financial hardships following the revocation, while numerous court appearances were made in an attempt to help Paa Kwesi Nduom regain control and restore the operations of GN Bank, but those efforts were unsuccessful at the time.
However, under the current administration, the Court of Appeal has reportedly directed the Bank of Ghana to restore GN Bank’s license to enable the bank to resume operations.
The decision is said to be based on claims that the revocation of the bank’s license was unfair and unreasonable.
