The name Kas-Sing(original correct spelling) was derived from the phrase Kass Singers. It was the first singing ministry which was established by Noble Nketsia who was a student at that time. It was established even before the school choir was established. It started with only boys as its members since all the girls were day students at that time. Kyere who was the headmaster of the school at that
time was very instrumental in establishing the ministry. He always gave his total support to the ministry in all its endeavors. Later students who were girls were permitted to join. From this we get to know that Kas-sing started originally as a boys' gospel singing ministry. Due to the great art display by the ministry people saw Kass as a music school. The ministry has helped train many prolific musician we find in our country today. They include Prince Tuffour of mentor one fame, Affreh Junior also known as Jazzman(one of the best bassist in the country & also the bassist for Sonnie Badu), Frederick Acheampong popularly known as Achie(great pianist and also Sonnie Badu's pianist), George Owusu Peprah (pshev), former Mass Choir MD (Knust), Johnny Haick (immediate past MD for Explo and Knust Mass Choir), Maxwell Acheampong(Tenor backer for Sonnie Badu), Emmanuel Amofa (head of instrumentalists piwc, Asokwa), Gideon Kofi Gyimah (MD for Heavenly Jewels of piwc, Asokwa) among many others. Kas-sing organizes its program annually dubbed "Endless Praise" which has helped transformed and impacted the lives of many students. Kas-sing is the school's main singing ministry and is regarded as the best singing ministry in the school due to the positive impact it has on the lives of students in the school. Its slogan is "Kas-sing and you respond Power in God's Sanctuary".
