Tabiri Krom Agrofo Mmba Band is a dance- and drumming group, where anyone interested is welcome to participate regularly. We are specialized in traditional dances from the Ashanti Region of Ghana but have several contemporary dances in our program too. We often invite artists from other parts of the country to come as guest instructors in order to develop our skills and increase our repertoire. Th
e activities take place on a big stage behind the “clubhouse”. The clubhouse consists of several rooms, where the members keep instruments, warm-up, dress for performances, etc. The area, the stage, and the clubhouse are owned by The National Youth Council. Tabiri Agrofo Mmba Band has more than 80 members and is one of the strongest performing groups in Ghana. Tamale Youth Home Cultural Group rehearses Monday through Friday 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. During the later years, the group has been selected to perform at big public events, national as well as regional. Tourists and other visitors are very welcome to come and watch or join our rehearsal. You find us at Youth Home, State Street, former Regional Administration Road, Kumasi. We equally travel to neighboring countries and sometimes overseas to grace African cultural festivals and weeks with beautiful performances.
