THINGS TO DO IN COURTSHIP
1) Ask him or her why both are marring each other and set out to work on the purpose as soon as possible. The primary purpose of getting married to each other is to fulfill vision. Couples who succeed fast in marriage are those who take their future seriously since courtship. So what is his or her vision?
2) Pray together about your future, home, business, ministry, vision, career, etc. Use the power of two to demolish any devil that may want to tamper with your destiny. "For one shall chase a thousand and two shall chase ten thousands."
3) Ask each other serious questions about your past to know where both are coming from, why he or she act in a particular way and how to become better.
4) Get to know each other's families and friends. Especially family members: study them, find out about their customs, traditions, beliefs and see how you both can fit in. Wisely reject what does not favour your Christian beliefs and start developing your own core beliefs together.
5) Study each other carefully and read books like: WHY YOU ACT THE WAY YOU DO by Tim Lahaye to understand temperaments and THE FIVE LOVE LANGUAGES by Gary Chapman to understand love languages.
6) Talk together seriously about what home will look like.
7) Thoroughly discuss finance: how to make money, increase money and manage money. Discuss God's kingdom investments like: tithe, offering, sacrificial offering, seed sowing and other ways of growing money like investments and start working towards financial freedom as soon as possible.
😎 Study each other's weaknesses, learn to manage them and develop conflict resolution skills.
9) Go out together often and watch how they relate with people, things, circumstances and situations.
10) Monitor each other's progress. Your life should be getting better, not worse since you've started courting. You should be increasing spiritually, mentally, academically, career wise, business wise and other areas of life.
