FROM FESTIVAL PROMISE TO REALITY: Whuti Becomes Anloga District’s Official 1 Million Coders Training Center!
What began as a promise at the 2025 Whuti Tɔtrɔyeye Festival has now become reality for the people of Whuti and the entire Anloga District in the Volta Region of Ghana.
Following the successful 2025 Whuti Tortroyeye Festival, held on the theme “Our Future: Bridging the Digital Divide,” the promise made by the Hon. Minister for Communication, Digital Technology & Innovations, Hon. Samuel Nartey George, has officially been fulfilled.
Through GIFEC, about 50 computers have been deployed to Whuti to kick-start the Government’s 1 Million Coders Program. We are also proud to announce that Whuti has been selected as the sole Training Center for the program in the Anloga District of the Volta Region.
We see this as a step toward empowering our youth with digital skills and creating opportunities for the future.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Hon. Samuel Nartey George, Hon. Richard Kwame Sefe, Member of Parliament for Anlo Constituency, and Hon. Sandra Seyram Kpedor, the Anloga District Chief Executive, for their immense support and commitment in making this dream a reality.
We encourage all young people and interested persons within the District to register and take advantage of this life-changing opportunity.
The future is digital — and that future begins now in Whuti!
