The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 is, like its predecessors, the tech giant’s most futuristic, most luxurious, most expensive smartphone. The conversation-worthy tech product can instantly transform from a compact phone to an Android tablet, making it as attention-commanding as a smartphone can be. The Fold3 is also Samsung’s first foldable device to support the S Pen stylus and a worthy (if much pricier) alternative to the Galaxy Note.

For the first time, Samsung treated the Galaxy Z Fold to an official rating for water resistance. Just like the cheaper Galaxy Z Flip3, the Fold3 can withstand water submersion. With tougher glass and an aluminum frame, the phone is also less prone to damage than its predecessors.

Samsung has equipped the Galaxy Z Fold3 with a powerful chipset and plenty of RAM, ensuring that nothing will slow it down. The device’s triple camera is also fantastic — it will consistently capture photos and video with superb quality. Its selfie cameras are also impressive. You have one underneath the display when you open the device and another one when folded.

Samsung's continuing to release a ton of tablets to push back at Apple's dominance in this world. While Apple sells four different iPads, ranging from its $329 iPad to the spec'd out $1,229 12.9-inch iPad Pro (512GB, 4G), Samsung offers a much broader range of options (even if Apple does launch a $259 option, as is rumored). Starting from the small and affordable $199 Galaxy Tab E and all the way up to the premium $1,128 Galaxy Book (a detachable 2-in-1 that runs Windows 10), Samsung's tablets even offer Windows 10, a more-traditional operating system than even iOS 11 will provide.

These slates offer big, bright screens that make your favorite shows on YouTube TV look fantastic, and allow you to clearly see your creations come to life in Adobe Photoshop Sketch. Productivity on Android is pretty easy too, with apps such as Google Docs and Microsoft Office.

Samsung offers a similar design and software experience across its top-selling phones and tablets, making the transition feel seamless. Its S Pen stylus, for example, comes with the 9.7-inch Galaxy Tab S3, the 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab A and the 12-inch Galaxy Book.
