President Mahama has unveiled plans to establish a state-of-the-art warfare facility at the Tamale Air Force Base in Ghana. The specialized military hub will focus on cyber and electronic warfare, representing a significant milestone in the modernization of the nation's defense architecture. The center will be tasked with protecting and, when necessary, countering threats to computer systems, networks, data, and critical digital infrastructure, including hacking, cyber-espionage, and cyber sabotage. It will also concentrate on electronic warfare capabilities, such as controlling or disrupting hostile communications, radar systems, drones, and other electronic signals, all in the interest of strengthening national security.
