Today we made history as I became the first African Foreign Minister to be hosted on an official visit in Kyrgyzstan.

I am most grateful to President Sadyr Japarov and Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubayev for their warm invitation and incredible hospitality.

Ghana and Kyrgyzstan are both eager to form a strategic and visionary partnership on a number of priority areas.

Ghana as the leading gold producer in Africa and Kyrgyzstan being a leading gold producer in Central Asia with its famous Kumtor Gold Mines, have committed to a mutually beneficial partnership in the interest of our two economies.

To demonstrate our resolve and trust as friendly nations, we signed a visa waiver agreement for holders of diplomatic and service passports in the interim with plans to expand to ordinary passport holders in the near future, and a second agreement to establish formal political consultations.

This new partnership seeks to explore diversified markets for Ghana’s growing economy particularly with Kyrgyzstan, a country celebrated as having one of the best GDP growth rates in the world over the last three years.

We are excited about this new south-south cooperation with our friends who were recently accorded AU observer status.

May the great prospects of Ghana 🇬🇭 Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬 bilateral relations be realized.

Ghana’s music industry is in mourning following the passing of highlife icon Daddy Lumba (Charles Kojo Fosu). He died on Saturday, July 26, 2025 in Accra after a short illness.

Known for timeless hits like Aben Wo Ha, Theresa, Yentie Obiaa and Pl***oy, Daddy Lumba’s career spanned over three decades with more than 30 albums released. Born on September 29, 1964, in Nsuta, Ashanti Region, he began with the Lumba Brothers group before becoming one of Ghana’s most celebrated solo artists.

The family described him as more than a musician — a cultural icon whose lyrics reflected the joys, struggles, and resilience of everyday Ghanaians. Funeral details will be announced later, and the family has requested privacy during this difficult time.

May his soul rest in peace.

KING OF SPORTS .. KING EBEN RESIGNS FROM WONTUMI RADIO & TV .

King Eben has officially resigned from Wontumi FM after four and a half years of service.

He expressed gratitude to Chairman Wontumi and the entire Wontumi Multimedia team for their support during his tenure .

King Eben played a key role in shaping the station's sports programming and built a strong reputation as one of the leading voices in Ghanaian sports journalism .

He's expected to join Lawson TV/FM, a rising media outlet, where he'll bring his expertise and fanbase to enrich their sports programming .

King Eben hinted at a possible new destination, stating that he's ready to undertake a new challenge and push himself again in a new environment .

His departure from Wontumi FM marks the end of an impactful tenure, during which he played a fulcrumental role in enhancing the station's sports programming .
King Eben's dynamic analysis and insightful commentary made him a household name among sports enthusiasts .

I am resigning as the Morning Show Host of Angel Broadcasting Network, effective immediately.

This decision was made due to differences in interests between the management of the company and myself.

I am grateful for the opportunity to serve ABN and the Ghanaian public.
