Meet our new artist

About Mahdi Roz ;born in Lebanon in 1983 and studied interior architecture along with fine arts his childhood hobby at the Lebanese American University in Beirut, He relocated to Africa in 2007 and has lived in Congo, Nigeria and now in Ghana. We will like to describe him as "Lebanese by birth, African at heart ".

Hobbies : He loves to paint and explore. "Painting bring me peace and joy and Sculpture allows me to explore nature and sense things differently".

What does Art mean to Mahdi Roz?
Art is his way of detaching himself from the world and life in general and all of its troubles.

His style: He does not have a particular style, he just allows himself to go with the flow. However there are common characters that are found in his works like acrylic paint, pastes, newspapers, fabric, dry leaves and silicone

What exhibiting at Alt Carbon means to Mahdi Roz?
He sees Alt Carbon as a window/door for him to step out to the world and share his beautiful pieces to the world, communicate with people and maybe meet new friends.

Afro house is a subgenre of house music with its roots predominantly in South Africa. A fusion of ksaito, Tribal deep and soulfulhouse music in South Africa

It splits into different camps:
One displaying more original African tribal sounds and Afro beats
And the other combining a fussion of Chicago/NYC soulful house with an American twist and characterized by a vocal-led more sophisticated style.

The term Mixed Music generally refers to contemporary classical music repertoire and is therefore distinct from live electronic music. Mixed Music is music combining acoustic instruments and fixed media electronics or more generally music that combines acoustic instrumental and electronic sound sources.

It is therefore a subcategory of electronic music which excludes theuse of electrically amplified instruments such as electronic guitar and electronic instruments such as theremin, electronic organs and keyboards.
