The concept presents a visual recipe book for the successful combination of traditional, fashion-forward, classic and eclectic styles; the result displayed in a series of mini settings that offer eye-candy and ideas for home improvement and l

ifestyle enchancement. The opening of this gallery of inspirational objects is the work of Nada Moukarzel, who has resided in Accra for the past two decades. With the opening of this destination space, Moukarzel brings a stylish platform for design to the Ghanaian capital. She utilizes the space both as showroom and gallery, where the work of local artists is combined with that of internationally-lauded brands.

For anyone in London, the must-see show of the season is The New Black Vanguard at the Saatchi Gallery till 22 Jan 2023. Curator (American writer and critic), Antwaun Sargent selected 15 international Black photographers who are seen as (according to Saatchi Gallery) ‘contributing to a new vision of the Black figure and reframing representation in art and fashion.’

The results are mesmerising, and the exhibition not only celebrates the up-and-coming photographers but also the work put into these images from Black stylists, models, make-up artists and art directors whose creative statements are all contributing to this cultural conversation which is offering a new set of references when it comes to image making.

Antwaun Sargent explains: "This exhibition is an exploration of this generation's Black image makers who are bringing fresh perspective to photography. Image by image, they have created a loose global network around their art that powerfully centres identity, community and desire. The artists in this show profoundly reanimate the possibilities of contemporary photography."
