The Ghanaba Afro-Jazz Gallery is an independent project that will be curating themes exhibitions from the Kofi Ghanaba's Archives. our exhibitions will focus on chronicling important events in the history of Ghana.

Afro jazz music is the interaction between western instruments and indigenous african instruments.Afro Jazz Rhythms was invented in the United States during the 50s by Ghanaba when he introduced the Ghanaian talking drums to western music for the first time after three hundred years.

AFRO-JAZZ ..Recorded in 1969.

“When I started to work in the Africa Room, I realized that, the name Guy Warren wasn't too hot. It didn't synchronize with what I was doing then. The musicality of my club-the name of the club was the Africa Room and we were supposed to be playing African music and here it says Guy Warren and everybody thought that I was an American posing as an African drummer, so to correct that it was Guy Warren of Ghana. In other words, I was trying to lead the name to be linked with Ghana”
