There is a total solar eclipse today August 12, 2026. It is a major celestial event crossing parts of Greenland, Iceland and northern Spain with a peak totality duration of 2 minutes and 18 seconds. Millions across Europe, North Africa and North America will experience a partial solar eclipse.

Path of Totality and Visibility

Total Eclipse Locations: Greenland, western Iceland, and northern Spain (plus a tiny corner of northeastern Portugal).

Greatest Eclipse: Occurs just off the western coast of Iceland at 17:47:06 UTC.

Partial Visibility: Broad areas across northern North America, much of Europe and northwestern Africa see a partial phase.

So only a portion of the Earth will see the cosmic event, but the celestial vibrations will have their effect on the entire Earth.
